When one talks about the future, its hard to tell that one is wrong, but if we limit speculation to 1 year ahead, its much easier to explain why bitcoin price wont grow.
Theres still no reason why 800 000 USD should be invested daily just to cover the newly mined coins, + any other dumps/cashouts there may be.
It is my opinion that the price will continue to fall even lower than 200$ over the next months, its not bottom yet, dont get ur hopes up.

I don't think the bearish trend was because of any particular reason. It is because some people with Bitcoins thought it would go down. Now, it can't go down much, can it? I estimate either sideways or up. :D

With record high volume on the largest LocalBitcoins markets the last month, I expect the supply of coins to dry up soon if the price don't increase.

The price is being manipulated.

If you want short term profits, then you need to wish for some mercy from the whales  :D

Its just a 10$ drop from yesterday. How is it a great time to buy for long term ?

OP is probably talking about current levels ($200-$250) and not necessarily yesterday's drop.

It depends on how patient you are. If you buy now, even if it goes down to 90, you still win big time in the long run (10 years time). It depends how much you want to wait and risk for a perfect bottom.

There is nothing as a long term bottom in bitcoin. After we went from 600 to 150, I thought we had learned that.

Yes there is, what seem now as big crashes will look like mere market noise when we do a big zoom out in the all time graphics over 10+ years of BTC existence after 1.0 version.

Bitcoin had no chance to sustain such high value, it was obvious that it will correct hard, but its pretty much safe to invest now, i mean we could go to 100$, making you loose 60% of your investment,
but on longer terms its safe to say the u can make big profit. Its just about how much ure willing to risk to make gains, and can you baghold if we(when we) go under 200$

Never risk too much if you have in mind going long term when trying to time a perfect bottom, you may miss a lifetime boat.

There's always the fear of missing out (FOMO) when it comes to small rallyes. Sometimes that fear actually continues to fuel the rallye. But right now we're just below a major resistance that pushes us back again and again, yet the price doesn't want to break down - incredible!

A very good opportunity to buy now. If you want to get in the game for the long term, it really is a no-brainer, since we very likely go up by quite a lot, I think. But if you are a day-trader, be cautios - we may see some dumps, still!

if i had an option to upvote your comment i definetly would. it seams really like a no-brainer, short term sell, long term (even considering 1 year long term) straight on buy.
reasons are many for current drop, mainly from lack of trnding in bitcoin, and for longterm,besides obvious halvings and wider use, things like bitcoin foundation is curently doing with promoting bitcoin education worldwide with top pr agency.

nah, honestly ... it'll go some up and down ... we're just lucky if this can be longterm bullish now. There's also a chance we stagnate in a range until halving.

FOMO is a bitch, and the fall from 200 to 0 is way easier to take than the fall from 1000 to 0. Don't miss out.

This is buy time for sure, you'd be crazy not to buy while it's still sub 300 given what's going on in the bitsphere at this very moment.

This should be the rule of thumb at this point. It might be last call folks.

Price is gradually looking better and better. Now we all waiting for it to hit that ceiling of $300. So close...

Ceiling is far above 300, but that psycological border of 300 $ wont be achieved without first correction of the suddenly risen price to about 250$.
There are a ton of positive news that would suggest otherwise, but knowing how these short rallys tend to end makes me sceptical, so for now my trading looks like sell, and pray to god im right about correction, because i doubt we will stay in 200-300 range for long.

Wait, are you suggesting that price will be higher or we will have huge drop next? Since you are telling us to sell you don't believe that price will go higher that $300 for now...

I have zero doubt about the long term price, that it will be well over 1000 in 2-3 years stabile, but looking at this situation short term, im just pointing the fact that there was no real correction in current rally, and therefore i believe the next thing to happen is a correction/dump to ~250 $, before another rally can start.
Hope that explains a bit what i was trying to say.

I have been buying all the way up to $270, you better buy now or will regret it. A good way to lose btc is selling in a bull trend then buying back as it keeps rising. i.e sell at 250, watch it go to 300, buy back in, sell at 350, watch it go to 400, panic and repeat !

that still long term, long term mean YEARS in bitcoin, not just some months with a pump&dump here and there, also was obvious that the price rised to quickly, and a dump was expected at that time

There are people who bought at $1000+.
No amount of coaxing will convince them to enter the market now.  :)

here it is, just like i suspected, a correction took place and lowered the price from ~280 to ~260 range, im actualy surprised it didnt dip even further,
now the only question is, will there be another dip before rally shoots up , or is this it.

Winner! I went against the crowd and most/many people would not listen, when BTC was low. It is nice to be correct some of the time.
