Title: So so so so so close
Post by: Exmortem on February 24, 2015, 05:46:32 AM
So today I started off by getting a tip by 1010010101 of 0.05 on primedice . I took it to 0.2 which I was really happy with. I withdrew 0.15 and gambled the rest on primedice. Then I 2x'd it to get to 0.1 then I 2x'd it again to get to 0.2. Then I did all of these random bets and I eventually got to 0.5. This is where things get crazy. I started betting at 0.01 at 66% on loss increase by 2x. This worked all the way up to 0.7. I was jumping with joy at this point. So I thought to myself, I just need 0.05 more and I'll withdraw the 0.70 and play with the 0.05. So I tried to get to 0.75. But I failed. Halfway through I got tired and just wanted to get it over with so I bet 0.04 which was a big Big BIG mistake. So this is what happened.

http://i.gyazo.com/3cf9f1f8b8d84cfb89e1a4e34ceb375d.png

Fuck me. I was down to 0.2 at this point. I managed to do the method back to 0.3. Then I thought to myself, if I have THAT many losses in a row, surely I will have a few wins right? This came true. I went to 0.4. and kept on betting and betting. I came across this 1.5x loss 7 times in a row, which dropped me down to 0.1. I was really pissed at myself at this point and just bet the 0.1 at 66% in which I lost. So originally my Primedice account was at -0.3. Then I brought it to 0.4 and I lost EVERYTHING all the way back to -0.2. I am really really pissed at myself right now and I need some way to calm myself down so I"m writing this post.

I guess you can think since I withdrew the 0.15 I technically earned a 0.1 Profit. I guess this is true but I am still really sad that I just lost 0.7.

The streaks will always come. Whether they be wins or losses. Sometimes you need to have the willpower to cash out when you are up like at 0.7. At least you were able to cash out a bit initially so that you came out a bit ahead. People sometimes lose everything they have through dice and martingale. Cheap lesson to learn for you this time.

I know but I wish the lesson was taught at 0.01bitcoins.

I suggest you to stop for 1-2 days,  take a rest and think "about" your bitcoin maybe it is not better to gamble them. What do you think? At the end all you know it is only a question of luck.

Gambling is the only fun I have with bitcoins. If I only cashed out when I made a little profit. I'll listen to your advice to take 1-2 days and think about what I just did. I'll probably gamble at primedice again but never will I ever not withdraw when I make a profit.

always have stop loss and withdraw part of the money after you reach certain profits.

At least you won something, but many people lose big by playing with no strategy

gambling is risking your money
only put the money that you can afford to lose and always withdraw time to time a small part of your profit

I guess I wish I didn't lose the 0.7. I did gamble what I could afford to lose. I just didn't want to lose it lol. Remember the initial btc was from a tip I didn't actually deposit in the website whatsoever

You should have listened to the guys in the chat who would have kept on screaming! Withdraw man withdraw!!!
I also lost 0.8BTC last week the same way! I just a 0.05BTC more but I lost it all. It was hilarious. Although I am still in profit.
Advice you to seek gambling addiction help.

It is impossible to know when you were at the top.
The best method, what I follow, is to withdraw every time you make your deposit back (or a portion of it as decided before).
You might not have got 0.7 then, but could have made a decent profit, lol.

You have absolutely no reason to worry. You made 1600% profit and went back to 200% profit! It is still lucky. :D

If I think about it that way it's not too bad. 200% is not bad :D

atleast you still get away in profit, any method isnt profitable for a long time, losing streak will surely come and knock your balance out , if i gamble, i consider to control my greed, since greed could cause us to bet alot that resulting to lose more

If I were you, I will try 9900 payout just like Hui's did.
Better you lose on small chance of winning but will give you a multiplier reward
rather than martiangle it away. That's my way  ;D

So glad that you still able to control your emotion , mostly people will accuse that he/she is being cheated by PD

the reason why dice sites make lots of money, poor staking strategies!

It happens, Gambling & Greed go hand in hand. If you had done what you initially did, which is withdrew when you were ahead, this wouldn't have happened. But what's done is done, let's not cry over spilled guineas.

lol  Don't do this man.  You were on an epic roll.  You should have cashed out one play before unfortunately.  It's the nature of the beast.

omg that red streaks so insane..
i know you marco on PD..you need to change your seeds at leas before you continue your roll..

if i get 3 reds on 2x,,there maybe a change will got green when changing my seeds

Atleast you were able to cashout the 0.15 BTC and marked as your profit. As they say easy come and easy go, just put that 0.7 btc that lost as a fair warning and for experience sake.

Well thats again just a fallacy, as the chance is still 50%. You could still have 10 more losses even on changing seed after every turn.

Do you guys have more luck with dice than blackjack?  I am the opposite.  Blackjack is the only game I ever win on.

Well I'm just pissed at losing bitcoins, but I'm not actually gambling what I can not afford to lose. These Bitcoins are just used for gambling.

You actually didn't loose anything. You made profit! Just pure profit! You didn't even play from your money. And also, you won something! That brings you in profit so stop worrying kid.

It is very good and logical advice that he to take little rest and let the hard time and thoughts pass then to come back and try luck with fresh start. He can not stop gambling even almost no one can.

taking a rest wont help you, it is not like you can change a badluck when you hit a red streak at PD, consider changing your seed and hope goodluck strike you  ::) ::)

If you have to relog, change seed or anything like that to start winning again it means the game is rigged.

True that these actions won't affect your luck at all, but if you feel better doing it, there is no harm with them as well. :)

That's insane. If I had 40 loses in a 50% game I wouldn't be afraid to say I was cheated. Somebody should calculate the odds of getting the same result in a 1/2 game 40 times in a row. Even 20 sounds ridiculously high.

What people fail to see is that the odds are for that happening is of a single streak. If you make many bets, the odds of the streak happening are much higher.

When you make 100000 bets, the odds of say 0.01% will become 100000*0.01%=10% chance which is quite likely.

i think the best move was when you withdrew the bitcoin the 1st time around.

seriously thats just way too many reds, and my stop loss would of been at 0.02-4 nothing higher.
