Not a resident of the United States. However, if I ever migrate to that country, I'll vote for the Libertarian section of the GOP (but not for religious nuts such as Huckabee). I really appreciate politicians such as Rand Paul.

If you find me a good job and get me green card for USA to come there, I will be whatever you want, Democrat or Republican :)

lol... in that case you better vote the Democrats. They are the ones who are masters of this trick. If I am not wrong, Obama and his friends are going to legalize some 13 million illegals this year.

We have a multi-party system, not a two party system. Why no third option?

I tend to look at things as either:
1) growing the State at the expense of individual rights, or
2) growing individual rights while lessening the power of the State.

While both are different in their pet topics, and general philosophies, I look at Republicans and Democrats as both using the State to further their interests, and thus growing the State.

I lump them both as statists* and trust neither.

*Statist:  The practice or doctrine of giving a centralized government control over economic planning and policy.

Yes, exactly; they're just two flavors of the same ideology, a vote for one is a vote for the other.  I find it funny when people call this a choice.

I am a republican but I agree with the democrats on a small amount of issues, but I side with republicans 99.99% of the time. I believe in more freedom to the individual and not as a society as a whole.

While I'm a registered republican as well as an elected party delegate for my local and state party, I typically only vote for republicans that are of the libertarian-ish brand but never for the Bush-Romney establishment candidates as they as bad or worse than some democrats. When lacking a libertarian-republican, I vote for the Libertarian Party's candidates just out of protest. Even tho I consider myself a voluntaryist as the end goal, you can't turn that switch on overnight and first we'll need to get lots more people elected that are libertarian-republicans or democrats (but most of the Ron Paul/Rand Paul libertarians do so in the GOP) to clip the wings of the establishment duopoly as it stands. If Rand becomes the GOP nominee, all other republicans across the country would have to support him and highlight/defend the issues from his perspective or just revolt and go to the democratic party where they mostly belong if they aren't Constitutional hawks, rather than war hawks.

Oh really? How many other parties are elected to national offices in America?

Seems we have republicans and anarchists in the bitcoin community, no liberals...

I think there are several of us who consider ourselves "classical liberals"  ;)

I've voted for republican but I would prefer a sort of decentralized "government" the  democracy has failed. We "need" a revolution, and the blockchain can help us.
