Title: Roger Ver in Bitcoin ad on Free Talk Live
Post by: Chef Ramsay on February 25, 2015, 11:08:12 PM
If ya don't know, FTL is the largest libertarian radio talk show in the world and I highly suggest yall take a listen to some of their shows. They're live everyday of the year from 7-10pm EST and they feature a panel of hosts (2-3 depending on their scheduling) and focus on topics brought up by callers. In the absence of callers, they have their own show prep. Anyways, check this short clip out and consider becoming a listener. I've listened to them for about 8 years now.

Free Talk Live is having a Bitcoin sale. Ian, Mark and Roger are featured in the ad. Mark claims that FTL was the first ad venue in the world that started taking Bitcoin. Ian said that FTL introduced Roger Ver to Bitcoin. Roger praises FTL.

I suppose I should make things easier for viewers and just post the website - https://www.freetalklive.com/ (https://www.freetalklive.com/). They do talk about Bitcoin related things whenever the news or callers bring it up. Just the other night they talked about the Seals with Clubs site getting axed for instance - as you'll see from the monday night episode. They list a queue of what topics were discussed at the top of every recent podcast link, that way you can fast forward to what you want to hear discussed or perhaps decide none of the topics are worth your time and move on to the next.

I suppose there's only so much to talk about after they've spent the last 4 years talking about it off and on but they still talk about it a few times a week when it's brought up by a caller or something news related. I wouldn't call them experts on it but coin holders that are interested parties in its success. Also, there's peripheral discussions that go on throughout the show each day that don't make it into the listing in the podcast queue, such as different references to Bitcoin. I just like the way they have a panel discussion rather than a monologue like most talk shows.

Thanks for the plug, Chef!

We have one of the best stories in Bitcoinia. Gavin Andresen was an AMPlifier (club member) of FTL and introduced us to btc in Jan 2011. We talked about it on air that night and that is how Roger Ver heard about it. Gavin called it the most profitable lunch of his life :).

Okay so it's more like they talk on whatever topic the caller brings up!
Amazing ;D

I remember those early days when yall first started to talk about Bitcoin and had those ads by Shrem running quite often. I was behind the times back then and didn't know much about it and thus became thoroughly annoyed by constantly hearing about it. I can still hear Ian saying that Bitcoins were worth about a dollar back then but it took me a few years to come to terms w/ it, so boy do I wish I could turn back time. ;D

FTL talks about Net 'Neutrality' right out of the gate on Thursday's show.

Sometimes the listings don't seem interesting but I always find them entertaining in some way plus informative from a libertarian perspective. Plus, the callers are always interesting. :) Could be you calling from anywhere in the world getting your story/word out.

I can give a brief "testimonial." Last year I bought some ads on FTL using bitcoins. I dealt with Mark Edge, and found him to be very helpful. FTL has a lot of cohosts. Mark stands out as the sane one. :) If you have a website or product to promote, you should definitely get in touch with him.
