Title: Installing AMD APP SDK help
Post by: TechnoBibble on February 26, 2015, 03:51:55 AM
Hi All,

I currently work as a PHP dev for a CAD company, we have over 400 computers with R9 290X and some with Firepro 16gb 9150 (Not even sure mining software supports this, does it?)

My director who is head of IT Services brought forward about mining overnight using the PC's and using it as a company leisure fund. As I have some experience with Bitcoin he asked that I look into this.

We have a slight problem however, about 30% of the PCs dont even have AMD APP SDK installed. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to do this remotely without interaction or via a group policy of some sort?

Thanks for any help.

You dont need to install the SDK for mining anymore. Latest drivers include the necessary OpenGL drivers in them. Use a GPO to push the installation of the drivers.

However, you wont want to use the cards to mine bitcoin but rather point them to a altcoin multipool for maximizing profit. Dont forget these cards will be running at 100% capacity burning loads of electricity.
