When is the right time start?

Yes it should be taught in schools especially in Economics classes. I think it will be shortly but bitcoin is still pretty new but I'm sure they will briefly discuss it. Maybe in the future they will study it either as an economic success or maybe even a failure if it all goes tits up.

Off course! When time goes by, bitcoin will become one essential part of our life, like computer, internet without which we cannot live. It is not the only one offering bitcoin course! There are quite a lot others.

They should be teaching different economic theories in schools, nevermind Bitcoin but the bankers won't have it, when I was in school the only ecnomics I even experienced was in history and it was bullshit, I was never even aware there were other schools of thought out there.

I have used it in lessons with my students. It was not hard for the kids, they never say the computer is hard to understand.

I teach my children what bitcoin is and they seem interested, they are the future users and I think they should be prepared. There was another thread about simplyfiing the bitcoin process to teach about the workings of the blockchain, using blocks and shoeboxes.

On a higher level it is mandatory in my opinion, when learning economics, the chain and the finity of the coin is revolutionairy compared to the leading currencies.

Bitcoin is something unique and I agree it must be on school curriculum.

More who interest with bitcoin, it's price getting higher

Of course this should be taught in schools! There is no question about it! I think the governments around the world, particularly the so-called democratic ones will be very slow to implement bitcoin into their curriculum. 

I would love to see what they talk about. Usually schools tend to add politics and ideology into everything, so maybe they have a certain interpretation of it.

I like this idea. It will brings mass adopt, i believe :D more young people, make cryptocurrency forward to bright future :D


Exactly they must know about bitcoin works first, especially they must know all cryptocurrency works :)

I think this is a great idea, and I fully support it being used in schools. Anything that would expand the community is welcome in my opinion at this point, so the more people that can be told about it the better, especially those in schools, since they will end up being part of the next generation.

Seems its already been introduced in the curriculum of some of the college courses already . A lot of courses have already started being taught at some of the schools.
But most of them are not based on entrepreneurship , but normal economics

Yeah it should be added into economy class curriculum.. It can really teach a lot of things to kids.

They'll need to teach bitcoin if adoption is successful. I'd give a shout out to Piggycoin as well for educational purposes, albeit for a somewhat younger crowd. But it's a fun way to get kids interested in crypto. (cf. piggy-coin.com)

I did a thing on how supply and demand works. It was not so much a bitcoin lesson but used bitcoin as an example. The kids tracked prices and did math based on that. They may be asked to "determine what percentage change has taken place this week?" Or "what is the ratio of buyers to seller right now?"

They loved it. Next time I'm going to give them some and do something with smart spending. Maybe even divide the money among them based on their test scores. (I'm still on the fence about this, I don't really like tests or even grades.)

It should be used. I see it a bit pointless though at this point in time where you can hardly ever use it at any retailers/service providers. It should introduced about as a class discussion. Just that. Maybe in the near future it'll be possible to implement it into our curriculum.

Stanford is the first university in the country to offer a Bitcoin course ..

Why would they favor one currency over the others?  Crytocurrency is what should be the lesson in the curriculum.

Great, other schools should follow as well and add bitcoin101 on their school curriculum. But as of the meantime I agree that it can be added on lessons discussions under economic theme type subjects.

Could see it discussed in specific college environments but don't think we'll be seeing classes about Bitcoin below that educational level.
