Title: Bitcoin payment integration on squarespace HELP Needed
Post by: audiotopix on March 03, 2015, 08:07:54 PM

Looking for the best way for my online store to accept bitcoin, with inventory control and shipping integration, using a Squarespace site.

so far the only payment processor that we are able to use on squarespace is stripe,, it seems that squarespace will not allow inventory control if you try to use coinbase or bitpay,,
it is also frustrating to find that stripe instantly converts your sales to is dollars with no option to keep your bitcoins as bitcoins,, to us this defeats the whole purpose.
we want to accept bitcoin and keep bitcoin with inventory control from a squarespace created site, can anyone please advise on how we can do that?
thanks.

i dont know about SQUARESPACE but you could use an API like blockchain.info, a remote sql db to manage your orders

Just an idea.

Try creating your own processor using the Apis maybe you can solve the problem and the processor will be crafted to your needs, what about chain pay? It's brand new.

Yeah no luck,,, Squarespace for now only uses stripe exclusively, guess we should have dug deeper before having our site constructed there,,, we have made a workaround for it but I feel like it freaks people out.

Basically we made a coupon code "paywithbitcoin" that is for 100% off, but in the message we ask the buyer to send the proper amount of BTC to our addy,, they complete the order and it gets taken out of inventory by the site,, then we manually check to make sure they sent the btc,, kind of a huge pain in the ass.

Squarespace makes beautiful sites,, and that is what we wanted,, but damn,,, we want to be able to accept any crypto,, I guess we will have to move to wordpress.
