Title: Configure encryption level upon re-encrypting wallet?
Post by: Searinox on March 04, 2015, 07:22:47 PM
I know that whenever I create a new wallet, I have a possibility to choose the amount of RAM used and CPU time for decryption. Once a wallet is encrypted, I know it can be decrypted, but if you choose to re-encrypt it, I don't see any options for changing the computational difficulty of the wallet. Is it possible to do this?

If you restore your wallet from a paper backup. You can change the settings.

Oh yes this is a question I've meant to ask for a while, why can wallet encryption settings not be changed by simply re-encrypting the wallet?

Thanks that worked. It was just unintuitive since the option's not in the pass change menu.
