Title: Dont be fooled by Monero's low price
Post by: GTO911 on March 05, 2015, 07:30:40 AM
Dont be fooled by the current Monero prices.

The Monero project has a much higher rate of emission than any coin out there. The currency is set to emit 80% of supply in 4 years straight!

That is 80% coins mined in just 4 years.

This is a very high rate of inflation, but for how long? See yourself -

The price is surprisingly stable with so much of new coins coming into the market. That means lots of people are hodl on this project. Soon as the supply dries up, Monero will be the only currency shooting up like lightning with no corrections in sight.

Created this thread to educate people who are thinking the wrong way. Take your positions, the time is running out

No we don't think the wrong way because we don't care about this and we don't need education either.

What percentage of Monero is already mined at this moment?

the problem is that the hole altcoin-land is so used to scam-/shitcoins that they dont even know how to rate a coin anymore (eg proof of honor award? WTF!).

thats not science. just scammy groups deceiving people.
monero is a real coin, with real devs and real cyptographers: a real cryptocurrency.

but... we need people to buy xmr when it raises... so i'll just wait until the majority realizes their mistake ;)

You are not mining at a loss -

CPU + GPU mining (about 1:1 performance for now). Memory-bound by design using AES encryption and several SHA-3 candidates

Monero at the time is ASIC resistant

Unfortunately, the forum is now infested with more kids trying to mine the 'internet money' than actual p2p enthusiasts

how is it not a loss?
i only get estimated .025 monero an hour!!

I mean you are doing fine. Mining with a gpu wont make a difference, it will produce the same hashing power of that of a cpu. As i mentioned above, the ratio is 1:1

Only big whales are pushing the price

duh, the price has not even been pushed :D

Did you just read the thread or post with eyes closed? The inflation is sky high. Anybody trying to push will end up burning himself.

there was one 85 BTC sell of XMR this should tell you something

Do you know sometimes people dump thousands of BTC in a single go. You seem to be a small time trader to me. This is not a crapcoin with an artificial economy. 3 days back someone dumped 100k moneros, and the market is back to where the price was then. The market is very liquid. Only the fools will lose on this obvious long term hodl

Higher than any coin is taking it too far. Many coins are much faster. For alts 80% in four years is pretty middle of the road imo.
