I just made a simple BTC->USD converter and am working on new features, very simple code, php

I don't think one would buy it, but it all depends on the pricing. Just saying because it is very simple. Ask the BTC amount and multiply it with the current BTC to USD rate from preev or some other exchange which has standardized rates.
One would only buy it for the simplistic design you are offering.
Can you tell us the pricing?

You should add a few things.

1. Currency changes
2. Tell us what currency Bitcoin is being traded too
3. Also when you press the trade button, if you keep pressing it eventually it will get to 0. Normally it should be 1btc=x then switch x=1btc  or maybe we don't need a switch button

Also include automatic Refresh function to make the site Irritation free

I'll do that using ajax, very simple, anything else?

Also make it Mobile friendly if you can. And if you can distribute its Ticker automatic at your site which will mean taking your script to the Next level

It's a nice script for sure. But it would good if it can convert $ inputs to BTC directly instead of clicking on convert button?, Just like preev has. Hope you get it what i'm trying to say. :)

I understand, you want to convert USD to btc and I will have that done, it's just around 5-6 lines of code.
the script might be nice to you but in my views it needs a lot of work.

Small update for everyone, the script with the above mentioned features by other users will be implemented in 2-3 weeks as I am engaged in other activities of higher importance.
