Title: ZeusMiner Lightning X6 - Rejected, Invalid Hashes
Post by: moondrelor on March 07, 2015, 03:36:30 AM
**my bat file**
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.ftc.theblocksfactory.com:3333 -u moondrelor.1 -p x  -S //./COM3 --chips-count 256 --ltc-clk 248 --nocheck-golden
@pause

I'm getting nothing but rejections and invalid hashes, how do I fix this?

Try using cgminer 4.3.5

use 250 instead of 248

It is now saying
"Do not have user privileges required to open //./COM3"
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.ftc.theblocksfactory.com:3333 -u moondrelor.1 -p x --zeus-chips 256 --zeus-clock 250 --scan-serial //./COM3

Dude, you want to mine a GPU algo (Neoscrypt) with a Scrypt ASIC.
FTC has changed the algo from Scrypt to Neoscrypt a few months ago.
Try a coin with Scrypt algo and you should be fine.

Why can't I use my Lightning X6 to mine FeatherCoin then? Even if it is Neoscrypt?

Cause your Lightning is made to use coins with Scypt algo, nothing else.
Check the article I linked.
You can mine Neoscrypt only with GPU or CPU.

Connect your Lightning to http://pool.digitalgold.co. No need to sign up, you can mine directly to your wallet. Should work with your .bat file settings.

It is working pretty good with Multipool Scrypt at the moment, I appreciate you pointing this out to me. I hope Neoscrypt comes to the these asics soon. Kind of ruined my plans about lots of things. Accepted:600 HW:50

That's what I mean. You ASIC will do pretty well with Scrypt coins, no matter which pool.
Algos like X11, X13, Neoscrypt and others were made to avoid ASICs can mine them. If you don't know why, check the mining history of Bitcoin (CPU to GPU to FPGA to ASIC). Although there are already some private ASICs for X11 and other algos, they are not available to the broad masses of miners. When a coin choses to use such an algo, then they want to get rid of ASIC mining.

It's ok :) What is everyone's thought on http://clevermining.com/?

Depends on your mining plan. Do you want to mine on a multipool and get paid in BTC? Want to mine on a multipool and keep the mined altcoins (to trade/sell at better rates/keep in wallet)? Do you beleave in a certain coin and want to mine this one? Or just maximizing your mining profit, no matter which coin(s) you mine and get?
I myself didn't mine their as it doesn't suit to my mining plan.

I just want to get the most profit and sell at the end of the month. Right now I'm mining on https://www.multipool.us/

In this case (Multipool.us is in my opinion not the best pool for GPU coins) I'd have a look at ipominer.com and nicehash.com. Nicehash might be a good solution as they rent your hashpower to other miner, pay out in BTC and, depending on the rentals, you often get better profits then mining coins yourself (check their profit stats).
