Hi guys, i am ready to start creating a gambling site over next month or two but before i do i would like some feedback from guys who enjoy having a gamble to tell me what they prefer, whether that is dice, poker roulette or something new  ;)

If something new what would the game be like ?

I have in mind something basic to begin with like a wheel of multipliers but what should the theme be and should there be a progressive jackpot slot are all questions i am trying to figure out. Do you think that could work and would you play it?

I like game with variable edge like safedice or moneypot, those with fixed edge is so old fashion, btw if you can make a pvp game will be nice, like poker pvp or blackjack pvp

i gamble just for entertainment so i select games anything with better design i dont really care about house, or things like provably fair

so you dont really care if a house cheat you? infact i dont like playing against the house, much better is a pvp game, where house take some % of fee, playing with players is luck against luck, so basically a higher chance to win  ::) ::)

Betting sports gambling may be very interesting ,

Cheers for the feed back guys i have been playing poker for over 10years and have been in close contact with the manager of one of the sites within that time. I am edging towards a poker site with everything i know about it being implemented, the thing is a lot of the other games people have mentioned so far are the side games i can add anyway it will just be a case of getting the site known which will be the difficult part  :D

I've also been playing poker for 10+ years and I know that opening a poker site in today's economy is basically throwing your money away.  The problem you will be facing is that there is nothing new you can create w/r/t an online poker site.  Anything you can think of is basically already being done by either SWC, WPN, or a fiat site.  And nobody would want to play on a site with less players/smaller prize pools.  Look at the last half dozen btc poker sites...they opened up, gave the house away, and only attracted a small number of players who were/are only interested in taking advantage of the site's generosity, play freerolls, never deposit, and instantly withdraw any bits they win.

This is not strictly true yes it will be difficult but it is not throwing your money away if it is something you love how can you say that being in poker? I mean even worst case scenario you have got yourself a hobbie with something you enjoy and when has that not cost anything. I do see your points though just a quick troll threw and there are a lot of flopped poker sites. There is a lot of flopped gambling sites this is why i have opened this thread to get ideas what people want not what i want to give them. Anyway thank you for your input all is appreciated  :)

domino poker is popular enough in facebook. so maybe it will great and be the first bitcoin domino poker.

Well yes, but playing poker and running a fledgling poker site are two very different things.  The worst case scenario would be having the experience souring you on poker in general, then you lose money and your hobby.  And it does cost money to either code a site from scratch or buy a premade software (which you'd of course still have to code to your specific design).  Then of course it costs money to host the site, have people to work on the site, and fund whatever promos you choose to run.

Anyway, to answer your original question, bitcoin gamblers want dice sites and dice site derivatives (like Money Pot).  If you run one that's provably fair, solvent, and run creative promos to get people in the door and playing a high volume (and there are a ton of solid promos that have yet to be implemented, including many that you can ape from poker sites) you'll be able to generate a solid profit.

A poker site with prop bets like last longer and betting on if the flop comes red or black and stuff like that where you could lose a hand and still make money, i think that would be cool and i haven't heard of a poker site that has these.

I prefer sites that if you lose you don't lose EVERYTHING. Like luckyb.it, most you can lose is 60% of your bet on green. Luckyb.it is my favorite game because of the suspense.

I will look into Money Pot to get some extra ideas, it will also be provably fair because i am not greedy i will also do my best to reduce the house % as much as possible for the same reason. I will do some research to find the best promo's for the site i choose. We are obviously still at a really early stage and the more time i start to give this the more ideas i will share to see if guys think they will work, i will also make contact with you threw pm if you do not mind?

Money pot is a bunch of fun as well, you get to pick when to be out, and try to guess how much money you can make. its fun seeing your btc rice from 1.1 to 1.2 to 1.3 then to zero  ;D

I will be honest out of the btc gambling games this is probably my favorite excluding poker of course. This is why i was edging towards a wheel multiplier for awhile and that is still a contender actually.

I would have a progressive jackpot that can only be hit on a certain stake made and a smaller jackpot for other smaller stakes 8)

One thing I would REALLY like is a dice game with a jackpot. I would ditch primedice for a trusted game like that. For example hitting the number 77.77 would give you 100x your bet, it would reduce the house edge by a tiny bit and would add so much fun to the game. Or something like getting a number ending with 7 (10% of chance) would give you slightly more. Like on 50%, payout would be reduced to 1.7x and the remainder of that 0.3x would go towards the bigger jackpot.
Or a progressive jackpot for 77.77 where a portion of the house edge goes into it and whoever rolls it gets that jackpot.

Am I the only one that wants to see some sort of SKILL Game? Pool, Darts, Accuracy Games... ?

Skill is also quite fun as you are determining the chance of you winning. Blackjack is half skill half luck, you make the decisions which make you lose or win. Dice is just a blind random number picking and not really much suspense or decision making going into that. Blackjack is one of my favorite games.

It would be cool to see more traditional casino games along side the bitcoin-typical dice and number spin games.

Craps would be AMAZING.

Any trusted war sites? Just have the higher number than the house and you win? That would sound like some good simple fun, I like playing war sometimes. Very simple to learn and play, no knowledge or skill required.

Betcoin has craps (and most other casino pit games).  Only 3x odds, but it's pretty good.

I'd like to see/play some poker games with btc.

Haven't seen almost any good craps and roulette games are lacking as well.

It doesn't always have to be a gambling game , but a game like Chess would be nice to have, as long as you can keep the bots out.

You would lose all the time against bots. Not against super pros. If money is involved people will cheat. And most board games are easy to cheat with bots. Perfect information games with too few possible moves are easy to make programs for. But I would also like to see more pvp gambling games.

Chess isn't really possible without having bots, people will always be using those.  However using captchas to verify its humans who are playing might be the only possibility in this case for chess

Id like to bet on sports betting, because it is basically like we are playing against our luck, i dislike game that with a huge house edge like slots, which is very hard to win unless we are very lucky, and if you need some creative idea about games, feel free to check out moneypot, the source is open source, and you can make your game base on that

I agree with you. Sport beting have historycal reference and when we place bet with martingale is not take many streak loss to recover on single team. But if we using parlay for bet its more difficult to win.

Yes you are right there are a lot of players on zynga but that is facebook poker i believe, the thing is facebook have millions of users so it is not surprising there are many players there.

When you are building from scratch will be very difficult.

To answer your question the casino would profit from buy in fee's all players paid to be able to play on the site, the fee is usually around 10% of the players buy in. 

The game that i prefer is Blackjack, it is simpe yet thrilling, but dice, blackjack, roulette, slots, is a pretty common game in casino, id rather if someone can come up with some fresh idea, i got some idea like pvp bomberman, old yet gold game where you get into 1 room and bet the ammount you wish ti bet  ;D , someone made that game before, but it was actually abused by farming the faucet there, and it was shut down

I think some simple skill based games would be nice. Like those flash shooters or implementing some arcade games like mortal kombat or something like pinball. You'd for example be able to bet against your opponent or just on the number of rounds or time you can survive in the game. You could also think of a gaming faucet that would pay you for playing a game and there would be ads displayed in the game.

I wonder why nobody thought of introducing actual company names and brands into RPG worlds at the expense of said companies.

There are sites that pay you to play arcade games. They don't pay a lot though. More like a faucet. But the problem with gambling on those games is many can be played by bots.

There was a game recently here btc-jump i think, it was fun but the OP seemed to be a scammer after all and went crazy, but yeah something like that game where you jump platforms and depending on your score you get x2, x3.. etc. Its fun, i dont know how profitable it is for the maker, it would have to be really hard so only a few people win.

it is actually quite easy to implement bitcoin into a MMORPG game, because each MMORPG game got its own currency that people can get by paying in fiat, infact, if that currency is bitcoin, people can just pay it like the other currency game in MMORPG but the fact is i dont think there will be enough interest of bitcoiner in the MMORPG game

I am a little different than most because when I gamble(seldom do) I look at it from a purely mathematical perspective. Because of this the game does not really matter, as long as the site has an automatic betting function I am happy! 

a good btc texas hold'em poker game would be nice.

All so the website must have a chat room because the social aspect is necessary to not feel lonely and it makes the site a more fun and lively place.

I like games where I see whats now going on like Moneypot or Luckybit.

Else it can be something new, be creative ^^

This has been mentioned quite a bit and i am not sure whether it is just being wrote for the sake of it because i see a few poker sites that are struggling to get players but there seems to be so many lovers of it.

I am passing on the poker site until i can bring a twist to the game i love the game and do not want to fall out of love with it because of stress trying to run it.


It will 100% have a lively chat area trollbox this is a must as you have stated.

I am going to give it more time and hopefully create something totally different because there is a touch of boring to all the same games being released over and over, i will try mix a few see what i come up with  8)

Pachinko is similar and comparable to luckyb.it. Its like plinko, but I think the japanese game, its quite a lot of fun and I recommend you try out luckyb.it. Can someone correct me if I am wrong comparing luckyb.it and pachinko?

So it is kind of like the falling thing that hits the pegs? I have tried lucky bit and it is one of the more entertaining ones but it being on chain with the tx fees really hurts profits.

Yes it is like a bean drop as well, bunch of pegs and wherever your ball lands is what you win. They have them at some theme parks as well. Lucky.it is great BECAUSE its onchain and you can see everyones bets at all time and its all live, I would rather have it onchain then offchain but I guess you are right about the fees. Unless you are doing really small bets like 0.002 the fees don't really make a difference.

I guess the tx fees would hurt you if you were going to do a martingale technique due to the large amount of transactions required for it to work. I gamble systematicly using that technique so I tend to stay off on chain sites because I would make thousands of transactions a day.

just a few things that immediately come to mind: keep the game simple, like dice, but give the player enough options so that they dont feel limited in playing the game. ex, adding a "range" of numbers to a dice game as opposed to just high or low would be a great example.

If you don't want to have to have a bank roll you could try making a pvp game with a percentage taken from the winner.

Investing is also a great way to have a bankroll which people can take part in and requires very little upfront cost. PVP games are even better because a user loses, not the house. PVP blackjack I don't think has been done before, and that would be quite fun. Take 1% of the winnings, a no house edge blackjack would be awesome.

I just stumbled upon a thread with pvp battleship gambling, I was genuinely interested but it look like they ran away with the funds. Games like that are kinda hard to make and maintain, something FUN to play against eachother like chess or checkers or something like that. I am very interested in PVP gambling and I think its a lot of fun.

I'd love to have a good poker site that hold a number of variations of the game like 7 card stud/draw and H.O.R.S.E etc. I think this would be great especially an in browser client. I would definitely play there often.

they are similar, but i think pachinko has more rules and steps, luckybit seems more simple pachinko :P

Playing face to face? That reminds me. What about a poker room that allows the use of webcams to see your opponents? Not great for privacy. But would be a more involved game as you try and find their tells.

Nah webcams would not work here. Most people would just disable them and some people (including me) don't even have a webcam hooked to some of their computers. Face to face wouldn't have enough users to make it fun

You should create one with dice on it and a jackpot so if you win you get a certain pot and make sure there is a minimum wager. Also include a unique game that makes your website stand out than others.

Yes this is exactly what I want, said so earlier. Minimum bets of 0.1 will qualify for winning the jackpot (but the other bets still to the jackpot amount), and then if you roll at 77.77 (1/10000 chance of this) you win all the jackpot minus 1% fees to the site owner or investors

I think it would be awesome to have games like roulette where you can see the other bets people are placing at the same time as you (Roulette wheel would spin every 15-30 seconds). Then you could have an option to switch to private if you don't want wait for the wheel to spin. Also you could have a blackjack table where multiple people can sit down at the same time (You could just implement 5 decks instead of 1).

I was thinking of doing this once. Except a live wheel of fortune but it is very similar. The wheel wouldn't spin because if there was multiple it would mess up the game, but my idea was that there are different color balls assigned to addresses

It wouldn't be mandatory. Just another way to increase involvement in the game for those who want it. Chat alone isn't fun enough for everyone. But you're right. Many people wouldn't use it.


Yes. That would be great. And it would improve the social aspects of gambling. It's always more fun to lose money in the company of others. Would get visually confusing though. With a lot of people and bets it could get a bit weird. Could have to be limited to a number of people per room.

From the gamblers that i have know in my real life it seems all they really want is to lose lol so give them anything with a high chance of losing and being absolutely devastated, almost suicidal and you will be sure to have a winner. It is sad really because they do not no went to stop and it can destroy so fast.. I play Dice and Poker when i have had a good time trading but i will never spend more than i would cry over if i lost, it is all about discipline for me...

I don't think gamblers are addicted to losing, it's more of the thrill and adrenaline they get from gambling. Nobody with a gambling addiction wants to feel suicidal or depressed but that's the side effects of being addicted to gambling.

Im not really much of a gambler but battleship would be cool.

We did actually have a pvp battleship game but it seems the owner ran away. I was interested as well but the owner ran away only a couple days before I first saw the thread. Too many scams these days...

Firstly thank you all for your thoughts that will help me with me decisions these coming months, a lot of people are saying the same thing and that's ok because i guess that is what they want so i have got from this what i wanted and i will come back here now and then to grab so more ideas, but like i said so far so good i am now going to lock the thread to not prolong forever.
