funny to think that if this story was presented in occupied Judea 2000 years ago, the Romans would have sided with the mother, the rabbis would have hatted see their authority and control on the population compromised, would have launch rebellion against the empire, and then a few years later saw the coming of the Legions... then you know what happened.
