It would be nice to see an address owned by btclottery that currently own 10'000 btc to pay out the potential max win.

I doubt it, considering if you win, you are classified as someone who produces alcoholic beverages.

I got here because I am trying the http://www.bitvisitor.com/ service and the http://www.btclottery.net/ is one of the offers.

I just spot the Bitcointalk shortcut when browsing the page and thought that it would end in a topic for support...

That is not the case.

We change draw date. From now it will be draw every Friday at 23:59.
Why we change date? Because the lotto game is usually only once per week not every day.

Great digitally sign a message to that effect with the private key from the address containing your payout funds and I will gladly buy a ticket.

Just a potential customer who (along with others) wants to know if you actually have the funds to pay out for your lottery. Since you seem so resistant to the idea I'm guessing you either don't, or your lottery is rigged so the only winner in the end is you.

Anyway, good luck with your scam business.

Hmm, the site uses sockpuppets that both use the same broken English and log in seconds from each other, the site refuses to prove it even actually has the jackpot it promises, even though legitimate sites always do that and Bitcoin is set up to make that easy, and the response to these comments from the site sockpuppets is abysmally incompetent.

Verdict:  SCAM.

Perhaps it will pay on the lesser jackpots to keep suckers on the hook, but I would expect to see that big jackpot never.

There are only two rational reasons they would refuse to prove they actually have the jackpot they promise.

The first is obvious.  They don't have it.

The second is they're too dumb to be running anything related to Bitcoin, and actually don't know how.

It is easy to talk bad to some system or game.
It is bad that exist people like you. You just want some fact you can not get. The best way is to go to some national lotto in you country and ask them for some proof of honesty.

It's a SCAM!

I choose the numbers: 5,16,17,19,38,40

I paid the 0.05BTC and got the 6 confirmations.

The draw was: 5,16,20,27,32,38
Which means I got 3 out of 6! (5,16 and 38!)

Never received my 5.00BTC tho!!!

Also I only see payouts not more than 0.1BTC  :(

So if you actually want to run this site, do it the right way!
Ever heard of "Word of mouth"? Go think about it...

hi!

We check and it is everything ok. You are in queue for payment and all so 3 other people. You win 5 BTC other 3(queue) 0.1 BTC. You will get payment 100%. System is automatized and all prize are paid up to 48 hour after draw.

All so you can see in RULES: "We pay prize next day of winning date." We change now to "We pay all prizes up to 48 hours after draw."
Now it is evething clear.

KushBerry good luck to you. You are lucky.

We just put clear rule now. Before was "We pay prize next day of winning date" and people don't understand. NEXT DAY mean 24 hours. But now we put +24hours. The reason is when someone will get pay in 25 hour it will be everything wrong!!!

Hmm today I did not have lucky. I will try today all so ;)

I have confiscated your lucky. You cannot win.

I play two times and I won one time.

As long as I have your lucky, you will continue to lose half of every bet you make, and you will continue to think that you are winning.

When the first prize(10k BTC) gets won by someone how will you change your rules? To "We pay all prizes up to 48 millenia after draw."?

Not bad ;)
Well, after winning 5BTC I guess I will give it another try sometime :P

Always thought about setting up my own lottery but never actually managed,
for a month you are doing pretty well, although you need to listen what your players want! (for example being able to see that you are able to payout 10k BTC)
No offense, but I am pretty sure we all know there are no 10.000 BTC,
but its risky because even if the chance is very small that someone gets 6 out of 6, let it happen once and you can take down your site  :-\
Just start of small and slowly get bigger! Just keep on updating the prices ;)
Also probably gets you more players since they feel more confident because it seems more real!

Greetings,
KushBerry

Edit: The date of the winner announcement is wrong "2012-08-120" ;)
And what happened to the regular draws? Wasn't it supposed to be daily?

Hmm today I did not have lucky. I will try today all so ;)
Many people play the lotto and all so already won ;)

if you are going to come here, and advertise your scam, the least you could do, is make sure your shill is not obviously a puppet account. [PROTIP]: Making the same typo is a dead giveaway.

Also, I checked out the numbers on your site, and I have some (I hesitate to say experience) skill for analyzing lottery numbers that win, most people believe this to be a random thing, and they are right, but through an uncanny coincidence real lotteries that are won by certain numbers and combinations of numbers are almost never won again by those numbers.

your site shows several having 'won' with the numbers 16, and 32 together, 5/28 of the last drawings have these two numbers together, also there are 3/28 with both 30, and 40. the numbers 11 and 13 are completely absent from any winning draw. Several numbers are over represented even alone, for example 38, have come up 8/28 times in the recent drawings, which is far more often than would be expected for any number, and yet it occurred with 16 as well, a few come up 7 times, and even more come up 6 times.

I realize all of this can be explained by random chance, but I think its more likely that this whole thing is being manipulated, and that the following conclusions can easily be drawn without too much speculation.

1. the 10000 maximum prize is nonexistent, and will never be paid out.
2. the goal of this site is to hook people with small victories, and then continue to siphon a small trickle of input from people who are easily addicted to gambling, or just like to imagine that they could win 10000 BTC.
3. the poster who made this thread, and the operator of the site are the same person, and this is a poorly veiled scam.

@Le Happy Merchant:
I thought the same myself, but I won 5BTC so I can't complain :P
And yes I agree it looks fishy/like a scam. He should give his players insight into the lottery to get them more confident.
BUT, I'm sure nearly any casino got something fishy about it, and if you got a problem with that, DO NOT GAMBLE!
I won 5BTC, so I can tell you it works, if there actually is a jackpot of 10kBTC, I don't know!

Problem is we don't know if he is manipulating the numbers!
In the case he does NOT, I would NOT call this a scam since he still pays you the win.
I agree with point 3, he choose the complete wrong way to advertise his site!

To your conclusion that easily can be drawn without too much speculation:
Point 1 and 2 is what most casino's do.
All over the world they advertise massive jackpots and then when someone actually hits the jackpot they do everything to NOT pay it to you.
For example by simply saying the machine was defect etc.
Also as we all know it's more likely to get a few small payouts than one big one since the chance for winning the big pot is way lower.

So basically what I am saying is, that I do not agree with point 1 and 2 since most casino's do exactly the same.
BUT, I do agree with point 3, he should have advertised his site differently!

Not worth the risk. Just like any other lottery, its built so that you loose. The odds have to go in favor of the house or of course they wouldn't make any money.

All I am saying is, why do we keep on hating if we do NOT have any facts, till now we only suspect?
I agree it seems fishy, but I played for 0.05BTC and got 5BTC (100 times as much).
I do not want to promote his site in any way, but I would say, just wait a while and see how it turns out.
That there wasn't a jackpot higher than 5BTC seems pretty true since he is running the lottery only one month or so.

I say just keep an eye on it and see what happens...

Gambling is an entertaining (even addictive) activity, but it is by no means an investment vehicle. I almost cry when I even think about it. One of those things millions of people look to for hope of riches, and they are all just robbing themselves. Fun being the bookie or casino though :/

I mostly win :)
Bought just a ticket for the sake once, and won 5BTC.
Thought about entering again bought 2 tickets:
1.) 3,8,16,23,32,38
2.) 6,13,18,25,31,36

Draw of the 17th is 2,3,5,23,33,38
Which means I got with the 1st ticket 3 out of 6 again :D
Total I made 10BTC of this lottery by only paying 0.15BTC :)

I've read this thread a couple of times and chuckle at all the scam/noscam analysis.  The point is, all games of chance are the same.  There's a chance you'll get the winning numbers, chance you'll pull the right cards, chance the dice will come up sixes, and a chance that the house is rigged.  I picture this guy as just another guy like the rest of us that came across some money (had it, given it, stole it, whatever) and put up a site in hopes to make some more.  So this guy speaks no good english, his advertising skills suck, and there is a chance his whole operation might be a scam, but life is a game of chances and this one only costs a bitnickle.

Why do not come up with a compromise?
I feel scammed since my wallet shows I paid, but YES, I'm not able to find the transaction in the blockchain which maybe has to do with the "tor-browser".
I was happy of receiving another 5BTC but because this won't be the case, why don't just send 0.1BTC and keep a potential customer?
Or do you really do NOT care at all about customers?

How to play?
1.   Put your payment address that we can pay you prize.
2.   Choose 6 numbers.
3.   Press button PLAY. (It will display after you choose 6 numbers)
4.   Send 0.05 BTC to address (You will get BIT address after pressing the play button)
5.   Wait for the confirmation of payment. YOU didn't get confirmation from our SERVER.
6.   Wait until draw.

We will not replay to KushBerry anymore. Send US transaction IDS! System works and users who pay ticket can win!

A multi-sockpuppet PR campaign:

1. Lottery is founded.
2. Sockpuppet 1 registers and posts about winning 0.1 BTC.
3. Lottery registers to announce "officially".
4. Sockpuppet 2 registers and posts about winning 5 BTC, but with some negativity.
5. Sockpuppets 1 and 2 are discovered.
6. Sockpuppet 2 defends self and begins complaining about non-payments with an intentionally weak argument.
7. The lottery is then made to look serious by elaborately refuting sockpuppet 2, while gathering support from community members due to sockpuppet 2's terrible stance.
8. Free bumps, and newbies visiting see "endorsements" by Hero Members and Staff.

Telling the guy that a tx ID is needed for a complaint is an endorsement?
I still think the site is a scam. No, I'm not willing to play there to prove it lol

Honestly, I got nothing to do with this freakin site.
But just asking why I dont receive my win, and saying "we wont answer you anymore" is not very nice.
All I ask is, do I need to stay on the site till the payment is confirmed or not?
and if so, it would be pretty stupid... (just my opinion)

I first thought it was a scam, but its just very unprofessional.

I am seriously wondering why I should tell you this, but you suck so hard I figure you need a break.

If you sent from a silkroad account, the return address may be another silkroad address you can never access.

Problem is I sent it from my silkroad account, and there you can't see any transaction id's :/

You can't send shit from your silkroad account... Does it not have to be an address that payments can be returned to?

As someone said before this sounds like a scam.  The lotto company has a house edge of course.  But, this lottery site is not that popular yet.  They will have to make a lot of money + a lot of time to pay off big jackpots.  Unless they have a lot of money invested which is highly unlikely.

Basically the lotto company is gambling that no one will get high jackpots.  But, they can also choose the winning numbers.

http://www.easysurf.cc/lotodd.htm

Total combinations of 6 out of 40 numbers (order does not matter)
3,838,380

Chance of winning 10, 000.00 BTC Prize (6 out of 6)  [I doubt they have this much money or will make this much]
(6/40)*(5/39)*(4/38)*(3/37)*(2/36)*(1/35) = 720 in 2,763,633,600 = 1 in 3,838,380

4,000.00 Prize (5 out of 6)
204 in 3,838,380 = 1 in 18,815.59

100.00 BTC Prize (4 out of 6)
8,415 in 3,838,380 =  1 in 456.14

5.00 BTC Prize (3 of 6)
119,680 in 3,838,380 = 1 in 32.07

0.1 BTC Prize (2 of 6)
695,640 in 3,838,380 = 1 in 5.52

Payout %=[ (1/3,838,380*10,000) + (204/3,838,380*4,000) + (8,415/3,838,380*100) + (119,680/3,838,380*5) + (695,640/3,838,380*0.1)] = 60.8450440 %

House Edge % = 39.15495600%

Avg Payout (If you bought every single combination) = 0.03042252 BTC
Makes sense

At first, I thought this site was a scam but, it seems this site could last forever if a few things are met
a) they have at least $110,000 in reserve (Jackpot) (they need to pay in 24 hours)
b) Enough hopefuls keep investing in this site

I'm not affiliated with BTCLottery in any way.  If my math is wrong please tell me.  I learned a lot calculating the odds.  Actually I gave up and used the calculator in the website.  I spent a lot of time researching and writing this report.

Check this thread to talk abotu the odds.

@AndrewBUD:
Yes you can play with your SR account.
Since you have to wait for the confirmation of your payment they know that this payment will be from you.
And the wallet adress for the win you have to enter before playing ;)

So what I did not know, but now I do, is that you have to stay on the site till the confirmation of your payment!

WARNING!!! SCAM DETECTED!!!

In the last draw, the owner of this site claimed that the address 15wRUf68NbJ4pXsxZ7wi63cwPdVDabKaQc won 5 btc hitting 3 in 6 number with a ticket.

so I decided to investigate to see if the reward was properly paid.

so I clicked on the transaction ID that this site showed as the transaction of the reward pay:

http://www.freeimagehosting.net/t/5cnk5.jpg (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/5cnk5)

and the complete transaction showed was 020df844efac4a8f70e701c9a68a416e578de2c4863676d5bc123f8a867eb57e:

http://www.freeimagehosting.net/t/3csex.jpg (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/3csex)

but this transaction is a transaction of DeepBit mining pool. The address 1VayNert3x1KzbpzMGt2qdqrAThiRovi8 is already widely known in the bitcoin community, but looks like the btclottery site owner isn't too smart to google this address and see this.

So, BE WARNED, THIS IS A SCAM SITE.

I sent 5 BTC  to address from DeepBit mining pool. I'm all so miner.
I just put winning address in DeepBit settings and made payout. I do not see any problem here.
Next time I will not do in this direction but I will pay from my wallet.

The problem is here:

http://blockchain.info/address/15wRUf68NbJ4pXsxZ7wi63cwPdVDabKaQc

this guy is always receiving 5 BTC from deepbit, and now you wanna convince me that one of the 5 BTC payments that this guy received from deepbit is yours?

Sorry, but you will need to do better than that to convince me.
