Does anyone know how many people is using bitcoin very often and how many are "weekends" users, with weekend users I meant people who bought it and hold it for a long time :)

you can't really get exact number of bitcoin users, it's not possible i guess. for rough ideas check out the links posted by Anillos2.

You could more or less extrapolate from rate of adoption, downloaded wallets, amount of transactions... but it would only be a gross extimate.

peoples from all over the world had adopt the bitcoin system so this is truly impossible to say that how many peoples are using it...we can say about 21million peoples are working on it at present time

Go there and go to state of bitcoin 2015, and then in the presentation to to " number of bitcoin users" , they did a general estimate, last time Q4 2014 was ~1 million worldwide and growing.

That is that probably 100m people know about it, but it is only 1m people who got active wallets and stuff like that, so only 1m active users.

We never know who sold it or hold it! That's the whole point behind Bitcoin

This is the beauty of Bitcoin. You can never know.

Different wallet addresses does not mean different people, so it would be impossible to link transaction volume or wallet addresses to the number of people using Bitcoin. And I like it.

You can't get the exact number, only estimating... But  lately the numbers are increasing, many of users here say that you should buy and hold you bitcoins instead of spending them. Try to find some research online about that number.

There is no exact number really because everyday there are new people who are getting in the bitcoin train..

i think it's very hard to tell how many people using bitcoin bitcoin very often and people using bitcoin on the weekends
every people have their reason and different reasons, to hold or to trade their bitcoin
and i think who's using bitcoin very often is day trader, and who's using bitcoin in the weekend is miner to pay electricity but dunno the exact number people using it
you can create survey, to know that

Yeah survey is good idea to know the number bitcoin users but.. it can't be done by me and you. you will have offer something to survey participants..

You can only estimate, its around 3 milions i heard but its difficult to predict.

Thing that can be said for sure is that around 31 million transactions have taken place in bitcoin’s history. More than 25 million addresses have been referenced in those 31 million transactions. The total number of addresses, gives an upper limit for the number of possible bitcoin users.
But not every address ever referenced is still in use. And it turns out that less than 10 percent actually have any bitcoins in - fewer than 2.5 million.
So that is your final number of bitcoin users - 2.5 mln.

for users all over the world, it is very difficult to predict, may be able to reach 10m.
