Title: I tried to get ShopLocket to accept Bitcoin payments today. No response yet.

ShopLocket is the kind of company that can make great use of Bitcoin. They are basically a distributed retail platform that help individuals sell single or multiple items at a one-time transaction fee of 2.5% or with a monthly account costing $99 respectively.

One of the starting co-founders, Katherine Hague, used to work for Shopify. That's also a company that could utilize and provide utility for Bitcoin.

Anyhow, I would appreciate any thoughts on your perceptions of this company and it's value to both customers and Bitcoin. It is based out of Toronto, and as we all know Toronto is the El Dorado of Bitcoin.

I do not work for ShopLocket, nor do I own any stake in their operations.

2.5% seems a bit steep for a transaction fee and one of the benefits of bitcoin is low transaction fees. It seems like ShopLocket doesn't really understand the point yet. They shouldn't make money off the transaction, they should work their profit margin into their sales price.
