For local boards, PM theymos. He may make you one if there is a need for one. The way to become one has already been addressed here several times but there are no guarantees and if you stop reporting then that's not a good sign as there are many users who will continue to do so and it is likely they will be the ones chosen when/if we need more mods. The truth is, as long as the reports you make are being dealt with in a timely manner, there isn't much of a reason to expect anything to change. Reports are fairly straightforward to handle and it seems like all the non-local sections are pretty well maintained at the moment. Reporting isn't the only factor, anyway theymos will only bring in new faces if there is demand. At the moment the moderators seem to be doing ok. Although, I'm not sure why someone would be so eager to be a forum moderator, it's a tough job. I report frequently and have to take small breaks because of how much time it takes up. Imagine doing that every single day, dealing with hundreds of posts. It's stressful. You've got to be made out of something special to become one. Maybe you have to eat some bear meat, I heard the paws and thigh of the bear are considered the best parts.So I was doing extra for reporting.
