Post by: gondel on March 10, 2015, 02:22:01 PM

http://grabo.bg/mai-v-turtziia-09t3u

I will pay entirely with BTC for it :)
Thumbs up for BTC
Can someone else share anything good which you purchased recently with BTC?
This can be a "brag" topic
:)

THe page is in russian, so can't really view or understand much. As for excursions with bitcoin, I had a vegas trip last year with bitcoin alone. :)

Do you have fiat to spend? Lucky for you BTC can still be purchased with fiat.

Well I never said it was something all I earned. I started my bitcoin journey with purchasing 3 BTC for almost 2000$.
And part of that is what I used.

Don't have idea about your page because I can't read your page content. I think your page is made up with another language which I can't read. However, what language did you use for your web page?

They have computers in Bulgaria?!!?  ??? ??? ???

Lol just messing around, say hi to the BTC-E guys for us, maybe tell them to merge with BitStamp so they could both finally get some decent exchange volume.

P.S. - Have a great time on your trip, take some pics on all the stuff you spent on using Bitcoin.

One thing I hope to do with my bitcoins is go travelling a bit. There's already quite a few places you can book flights and hotels etc so it shouldn't be too difficult. What I'd really like to do though is go travelling and spend nothing but bitcoins. I think we're probably a few years away from that though but it could be done depending on where you travel to. Good luck with your trip, op.

So you are going to Turkey. You use a bulgarian group buy / offers website and a bulgarian travel agency.
The offers website accepts bitcoin. But does the tour operator accept bitcoin? I didn't find that info.
And the flight to Bulgaria will be also paid with Bitcoin, or you actually live in Bulgaria?

That's great dude, as going to holidays and paying for such offers with BTC leads it towards the point that it is getting accepted slowly, but steadily everywhere. And goodluck with your deals.

Why not Bulgaria?
Have nice beaches. It's also cheap and the quality is not bad. Would rate it 8 from 10 stars.
Might go there, as they are friendly too.

Oh, is it Turkey via Bulgaria then? That's even better! I used to have an apartment in Istanbul. I love Turkey. It's cheap to fly within the country, cheaper than the bus for some reason. I would fly out to Cappadocia or Izmir for like $25.

Another cool thing for a bitcoiner can be found at Attaurk airport. On your way home you will have all this Turkish Lira that is useless in other countries. No problem. Find the Bitcoin ATM at the airport and dump your lira for bitcoin! In mins. it's on your phone and ready for the next country.

I have a question for you op, how much did you spent on this? I am glad that Europe can be so inviting and to be able to use your BTC directly to purchase a vacation for your family is really great sign of change. Bitcoin is entering mainstream everywhere in the world.

Actually it is around 450 Euro excluding airport taxes.
Also the site is for group offers and you pay everything in advance with BTC. They also made a very nice promotion and gave away around 5$ in BTC for each signed member for a limited period of time which leaded to a great popularity of the crypto at all in Buglaria.

A lot of us are lower class with hopes and dreams of making enough to get by with the major worry of the financial trap, if i am honest my monthly income is also below 1 btc but i am happy even if i don't get to go to these places that i most definitely would  ;D

Yes, that is indeed extremely useful.
I hope that they'll do that in most Turkish airports, or at least Antalya. Hopefully before I get there.

Damn, if your lower income is lower than 1 BTC you must be on a third world country. Where are you from? I assume extra coins you could make in sig campaings alone are a great extra for you.

Learn as much as you can here and save as much as you can, i know it is hard if you need to live but that will be your first steps to becoming employed i mean there is a services section where they employ people and there are many jobs on the internet the longer you spend here i have to assume you can write so how about advertising your skills as a writer for a start without knowing what you are good at it is hard say but i wish you the best of luck! Unemployment sucks and most of us have been there, don't get used to it find the drive :)

yes i have followed the signature campaign, everyweek I get a 0.035 from the current sig. 0.035 x 4 = 0.14 / month.
The pure income of my work in the sig.

but sometimes I get the giveaway and the other, so a month I can get about 0.1 - 0.5 .

Well , this is really very interesting idea.
We need good promotion for BTC, because right now many average people think that bTC is just some ''virtual thing'' good for investment only, and without real value in other areas of human life.
Such press article, about going to holiday with BTC only, can really do a lot to change public opinion about bitcoin.

I know what you mean man. A few days ago I was searching for a library to use in my code (I needed to attach a simple temperature sensor to an ARM controller), but all I could find was Russian things. I never understand why anyone would go through the trouble of creating a library and only comment/publish it in Russian.  ::)

By looking at this thread I was interested to go travel by using the results of bitcoin .
From now on I will save from the bitcoin for the tour to Europe .   ;D ;D
But if there are hotels that accept bitcoin there huh ?  ???

If you need to book hotels, Expedia accepts Bitcoin:

I think RodeoX has a good idea, just a pity these Bitcoin ATM’s are not in all airports around the world. I wonder how many fiat is kept in cupboards around the world, because people think it’s too much trouble to exchange it to their currency.

I know a friend of mine travelled to Portugal a while ago, and a friend of his had some spare euro’s from his previous trip, that he sold to him for a loss, just to get rid of it.

I would love to take my family on a fully paid BTC holiday, but the economy and my budget is not in a good place to splash out on holidays.

OP .... I hope you enjoy your holiday, great choice of location and I hope you can spend BTC for almost all your purchases.  ;D ;D ;D
