Title: Some help with a new project
Post by: CaptainHerpDerp on March 10, 2015, 04:00:33 PM
Hello Bitcointalk,

I was hoping there may be some benevloent individual within this learned community who may point me in the right direction...

I'll have to come back here very soon as I'm not allowed to delete my own posts... >:(

Edit:  Yes sorry let me explain. I need to create a premined alt coin ( woah I hear you say we do not need anymore of those ) Yes I agree but hear me out. I love the bitcoin technology for its infallible way to set trust. I need a coin I can give away to people and for them to use it as a vote token.

So I need a lot of coins I can give away and then I want people to able to vote with them by sending to an address corresponding to an event. I'm sure you get the idea. Anway I am a noob and I would just like to know how I can go about this. Is it easy enough to create a new pre mined coin?

I did do some research although I feel I would come unstuck on some of the tutorials.

I have a server I would like to host it on...was just wondering if anyone out there has used any such site or can offer any direction?

Ok well thanks in advance.

I have been here for more than 1 year - and if there is one thing that is for certain, this place is FULL of benevolent individuals.

*there are a few smart-asses too - so watch out for those.

You can ask for help in the services section. Few people I have heard who are good with developing altcoins are, loljosh and Valzador, both of whom have threads in the services section.

I've had 2 suggestions so far http://build-a-co.in/ and horizonplatform.io

Just need to find out if I can make one of them fit for my purpose.

I've had loljosh help me a bit, always went out of his way to help even after being paid and helped me with a few things for free. He's got good prices too.

Have you heard of NXT? You can create your own coin(s) within minutes you don't have to code. It's really easy and simple to make a coin under NXT Monetary System. Find out more info through the link below.  :)

Version 1.5 of Nxt will include Voting, which can be done by any MSCoin (coins created within Nxt's Monetary System).

So you issue your MScoin with a 5 letter symbol in minutes at a cost of 40 NXT ($0.58), send it to whoever you need to. And then use the Nxt wallet to set up a vote that tallies the results. And it is all done in a 100% decentralized way.

Here is a teaser video of the voting system, 1m 08s is the start of the bit about "Voting by MScoin"
