i would not say he was ever negative. he was/is neutral - he sees the pro and cons.

when you do some research you will see, that his firm already invested in BTC companies months ago.

What news? Can you share the link or summarize what happened?

If Peter Thiel is talking positive about BTC, it's a VERY good thing.

I don't think a price change would change someones negativity that much in my opinion. Jut because somethings cost goes up does not mean it is any more effective, it is the same bitcoin as before with a few more buyers than sellers.

IT's cool that Peter is an investor in 21, it's a problem that 21 is hiding what the fuck it's operations actually are. There's a lot of money in the (Silicon) Valley, so it's not such a "sure thing" just because they've gotten investor money. Additionally, getting investor money without clear operations and a plan to generate revenue reeks of a dot com bubble kind of move.

Don't get me wrong, I hope all works out for the best but let's not get to excited yet.

Thiel has so much money that a single investment in a theme doesnt necessarily mean that he buys into that theme

I think the investors know very well about 21's planned operations and think it's a great thing. They just don't release it to public right now
