Title: Circle.com Deposit - US Bank Account
Post by: mayday23 on March 12, 2015, 01:43:36 AM
I'd like to load my circle.com account through my US Bank Account but not buy the BitCoins until my account receives the money from my US bank (ie 5 days). I've done one successful load from my bank account, but I only get $100 instant and need to wait for the remaining $900 to clear.

I don't want to be subject to the currency fluctuations while my money is transferred. How can I accomplish that?

You can't. Money you load into your Circle account gets converted to BTC at current market rate automatically. Having said that, I have only a credit card linked to my Circle account, not an actual bank account, I suppose there might be some subtleties I'm not privy to. Deposits you make using a debit/credit card is instantaneous so you don't have to worry about market fluctuations. Only thing is, with a CC you have a limit of $500 per week.
Hopefully someone else can help you with the bank account thing. Good luck!

I'm just afraid of my CC charging me a cash advance fee. I guess I can try a small transaction and see how it works.

Try with small amount(s). Like $50 or so. You cannot be charged much.
I've been using other website that can do this too, and I was like you. So I gone small, $20 first time. After that was fine and I was charged about 0.7% I gone with $50. It was the same. So you can try with small amount without fear.

I don't think there is anyway for you to avoid it.

Instead of using Circle, use Coinbase. It has an on-site USD wallet now, so that you can buy and sell from it instantly. Then you can load the wallet with $1k (wait 5 days or whatever for it to be deposited), and then convert when you're ready... instantly! You can also trade back and forth when you want with no delay.

I have an account with Coinbase as well and I like the fact that you can convert bitcoins into almost any currency in the world with great ease.
