I can't comment on the security as I am on mobile. Install it in a pc which doesn't have any sensitive information and make a deep scanning. Can you post the link to CGMiner which support Scrypt-Jane that you are telling about? Name a price in OP, it may help you finding a person and escrowing it will give more weight on it.
