BigPi (BPI) - Grab Your Piece of the Future.

Pi is the most recognized mathematical constant in the world. Scholars often consider Pi the most important and intriguing number in all of mathematics. BPI was developed to embody Pi, representing a constant within the cryptocurrency space that we hope in time can become one of the most intriguing coins. BPI is a traditional scrypt Proof of Work (POW) coin with no premine and no IPO and it was launched with a fair coin distribution to allow all parties to participate the BPI experience on level playing fields.

The primary initial focus for the BPI development team is for a smooth launch, which we believe was a success. Next, we will begin ensuring the strength and reliability of the network, as we have already reached out to a few merchants to begin accepting BPI. Below is a rough outline of development plans, which we plan to update weekly with progress updates and additional information and/or details on specific items.

Development Timeline:

Strategy & Design
-Develop coin specifications, mission statement, and use cases
-Complete wallet(s)
-Begin researching and contacting merchants regarding inclusion/addition into payment systems.

Operation & Maintenance
-Launch coin
-Ensure smooth, successful, and fair launch
-Maintain strength and reliability of network
-Finalize agreements with merchants to accept BPI
-Additional features to begin developing:
        -Wallet upgrade: Implement web-kit tech, in wallet block explorer, trading via exchanges, coin recycler and network statistics
        -Pi Web: Online and paper wallets
        -Archimedes (PiBot): Beyond traditional accounts at Facebook, twitter, and reddit, we plan to construct tip bots for twitter, reddit, and irc users that will allow the sending and receiving of BPI through these social media outlets
        -Pi Club: Rewards for large holders, including entertainment tickets at select venues and vacation giveaways, and access to special IRC channel with direct 24/7 access to BPI team members
        -DarkPi: Decentralized - Anonymous Transactions and Encrypted Messaging
        -PiLite: Fully Functional iOS and Android mobile wallets
        -PiBit: Pay with BPI anywhere BTC is accepted (Thank to Veri)
        -PiPal: Buy BPI through PayPal (Thank to Veri)

Continual Service Improvement
-Receive feedback from community regarding issues/bugs or additional features for future development
-Set up 27/4 BPI Tier 1 Help Desk Team

As a mathematician for the over the past half decade, I have a strong connection with Pi and recognize it’s importance within the field. I plan to take on the development of BPI with the same dedication and commitment as I do all other endeavors, please feel free to PM or join the IRC #BigPi and ask any questions.

It works for me. I always use the same port for all new coins. Check your conf and miner setup and be sure your conf is like this:

Code:
maxconnections=100
rpcuser=solo
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=7755
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1

I dont see that anywhere in the source, i got in at block 60, so the maximum "pre-mine" was 60 x 3.14 coins, but i have no idea if they all went to the dev or maybe if shadow hat some too etc.

If there is no hidden premine, I was connected at 50 block, so 50*3.14=157 coins

Still here hahahah
Solo mine , You can create your own port.

No, you can't. Does this run on port 9332, etc.

u can..

just use for example in the bpicoin.conf
rpcuser=uruser
rpcpassword=ur pw
rpcport=12345
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

and than use for example

cgminer -k scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:12345 -u uruser -p urpassword --thread-concurrency 8192 --intensity 18

#and than ur mining solo with ur own port

Hey everyone!

This is officially the first coined i've ever mined! I mean I still only rented hash but it beats buying coins on an exchange. Why not mess around with a coin with no premine or IPO, at least everyone will be on an even playing field. The ANN is a little lacking but hey, the Dev was around for the launch and hopefully he can update soon with more info and future plans. BPI is such a catchy ticker though for the coin and how could you not support a PI related coin so close to 3.14 :)

So what? We were at 27Gh at launch, no exchange shortly after at launch dropped us to 16Gh. This morning I see 1.4Gh... no Bittrex in 12 hours after launch and everyone leaves.

So it's a new crypto ? A RPI2 costs 0.17556259, here, in France. So when it will be available just look how much this sum make BPI !

Thanks DoeBoy appreciate the support! We're not going anywhere either, we are here for the long haul!We're are developing a stable coin with a strong network, and obviously this cannot happen over night, so you might as well mine now earlier on :)

We got some get updates lined up too over the next few weeks. We're working on a timeline/infographic that we will be releasing in the next week or two. First update will be to the wallet, with a major overhaul and a lot of cool new features! I don't want to give away too much away yet ;) but everyone will know more soon!

In meantime, I really want to try to grow this community! I am spending most of time on the coin but I will try to be around here to post as often as I can and I will be on #BigPi IRC channel as well. There's not too many people on the channel now but hey it's early and were still very new. But feel free to hop in, say hi, or ask any questions you may have :)

No news is normally considered good news but not in this case I fear.

Updates would be nice. It seems so odd to start a coin then just give it up without even an exchange to offload onto traders.
