What is the most user friendly bitcoin client at the moment?

I've been frustrated with the complexity of all the wallet applications. I've created an easy-to-use wallet. New users should find it non-intimidating. Experienced users should find it refreshing.

I'm running it right now. I have very little time right now, but if folks can send me just 1btc to that address it will help me test the wallet, and I will use the funds to buy a domain name.

Most user friendly client is the online wallet by blockchain.info. If you want an application-based client, I'd say Electrum is the most user friendly. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52003.0)

Paytunia's hosted (shared) EWallet and mobile companion app make a great combination that is easy to use.  

Of course, that's not a client.

BitcoinSpinner for Android is a mobile client and thus the key is kept on the mobile and not on someone else's server.

Seconding blockchain.info.  That's what I use most of the time.

I know my request sounds like a scam/vaporware, but I'll be releasing it soon. This post is actually prompting me to get on with it, because clearly others are interested in a simpler client. Mainly, I just wanted to see if the community here would be supportive of new development. But, this isn't the thread for that (I created a dedicated thread in the Alternative Client subtopic).

Of the clients currently available, folks seem to think MultiBit is nice/easy/well-designed.

The blockchain wallet looks good, but isn't it risky having your coins in an online wallet?

Blockchain.info wallet is a hybrid wallet, this means that your addresses are safe even if the site gets hacked or whatever, you can learn more here:

I'm using the default BitCoin Wallet and find that it works just fine so far.

I'm using BitcoinSpinner for Android as well, but just started recently.  Anyone have any strong feelings on that one?  I was told it's sort of the "standard."

It's proprietary to Android if I remember correctly. Be sure to back up your wallet!

I usually use bitcoin-qt , but I store most of my bitcoins on blockchain.info.

Congrats on releasing your software!  Are you taking suggestions on interface and features?  Since it is freeware, you could put in a nag-ware popup asking to donate 0.1 bitcoin to your address, and marking it as "registered" if they donate :)  Also, I think the icons without text are confusing because newbies don't know anything about bitcoin!

Thanks a lot for your comments, axus. Good suggestions. There's currently a donation button in the client (look for the Star), but it's hard to find because I didn't want to clutter up the UI. Someone else suggested a donate-on-send option. The buttons are all labeled with pop-up tool-tip-text, but I'll consider putting the labels visibly on the buttons. Thanks for the input.

I agree that blockchain.info is the easiest to use at the moment.  

But no matter what wallet you use you should still make a point of learning more about keeping your bitcoins secure, especially as you add to your balance.
It is part of the Bitcoin philosophy, imo, that each user takes responsibility for their own money. Using good passwords and other security matters is very important.

I really like the blockchain.info site, it's fun to click on the transactions and follow the money.  I like the scandals as much as anybody else.  Zhou tong posted the initial fraudulent transactions, you can keep clicking links to see the cash being split off into more and more accounts.  Then a bunch of it moved off a week ago :)

Anyways, I found the announcement thread after posting here, but I'm not at 4 hours logged in yet :)  Good luck with the client!
