It is not that easy. I think that becoming fearless has some steps but I don't know what that steps are ?

Fear is healthy, just don't let it paralyze you and keep you from doing what you need to do.

Whether it be fight...

<Edit> Transcending the fear of injury or death would either take great conviction or (like I already mentioned) mental instability.

Actually you're right. Maybe I should tell it like "how to seem fearless?"  Fear is a natural effect but I don't want anyone understand that fear.

Perhaps, you just lack a particular skill and therefore confidence? Becoming skillful at something will give you confidence and drastically reduce your fear of it. (ie. Fighting, scuba diving, flying, etc.)

True that! I was once fearless of the word no till I became skillful in asking basically the same question: Excuse me, but would you kindly explain to me why you'll refuse to have passionate sex with me even though it's a foregone conclusion that it'll be exceptional, with nary a sole in this bar that I frequent daily able to refute my claim?

I have some theories.. this might make you fearless against anything living. each steps will make you fear less and less.

1. train yourself to never avoid eye contact (even when you lie).
2. learn that pain is inevitable, but suffering isn't. (took this from a film, but I've learned that it is true)
3. work out.
4. practice martial arts. getting past the basics is enough.
5. learn how to treat yourself for when you get hurt
6. hurt yourself. maybe start by dislocating a bone. after that you can do some things that can leave you permanent scars.

there. I did the number 1-4 and I feel like I can fight a tiger. serious.
I don't advise bringing weapons because it makes you dependent on it.

Fear can be a good thing if it helps to stay away from stupid harmful situation, but it can also be terrible if it paralizes you.
To face this kind of fear, you gotta simply do the things you are afraid to do... there's no other way to fight it.
Just "force" yourself and take action!

You can't.

If you know what fear is, you can never be fearless. Only one who doesn't know what fear is, can truly be called fearless. In other words only true innocence is fearless.
Fear is a purely human emotion, it is an unavoidable side effect resulting from man's certainty that he is better than the rest of life.

Acceptance is key.. if you feel you have transcended your worst state of being.. sort of like you just stop giving a shit about whatever is inspiring your fear.
I find this happening to me increasingly as I get older. I am so out of fucks to give on so many things its getting out hand.. but theres definitely virtually no fear at all in my life anymore of pretty much anything

Fear is good feeling, in reality.
If you are in danger, fear can save your life.
Of course, you have to learn how to control this emotion, or any kind of emotion, in your life.

Identify where the fear presents in your stomach/chest area, then brush it away with your hand for a second and see it flying away. The trick is noticing it when it's just starting to manifest there.

Brandy also helps. Not just being drunk, but drinking a decent amount often, like every other day. There's a lasting effect if you drink on a regular basis. You basically learn some of the lessons of that "liquid courage" state even when you are not drunk. Don't drink too much, though, because getting sloppy drunk will make it unhealthy to do often. I'd say like 3-5 drinks for most people will be about right. Tipsy and confident but still able to look pretty much sober. Brandy is pretty healthy I think, but whatever makes you feel best and has the least hangover effect. Despite what some say, different alcohols do have different effects because of the congeners, tannins, and other cofactors. Of all drugs, alcohol has the most complex and least understood mechanism of action, which is good evidence that humans evolved with it and so it works in very complex ways with our physiology.

Another thing that works really well is Primal Defense or other probiotic formula. I can't recall the details but there was a study where they did something like feed rats a certain type of bacteria (which is in some probiotic formulas) for a while then test if they would jump over a large chasm to try to get some food at the other side. The rats who were too scared to make the jump became able to after the bacteria had taken hold.

Also, stop masturbating so much (unless it's really good; bad sex and bad masturbation drain you and make you socially fearful), and stop eating so much sugar and carbs (bad for both gut bacteria and insulin levels).

Also, watch the first season of Vikings. It's gotta be the best show for learning not to be afraid.

Remember, what you do every day and every week will be what determines how you feel. Consistency and frequency are key. Drink often, eat well, exercise regularly, watch inspiring shows and movies, find good role models, and actually improve yourself. If you want to be socially confident, expose yourself to social situations gradually moving from easy to difficult, and do it as often as possible, using alcohol on schedule. If you want to be physically confident, train a martial art and do weightlifting, etc. But it's all in the mind, so you don't actually need to do any of that physical stuff, though it will help a lot.

EVERYONE experiences fear. Because let’s face it  no one's good at EVERYTHING. Everyone has something that they struggle with, something that others can do better than them, something that might even seem ridiculous to others, but evokes feelings of dread in themselves.

#6 made me think of a certain ex-powerlifter who was at the top of his weight class a few years back. The guy was a Marine who used to be one of Clinton's Presidential Guard, he was known for driving spikes through his arm to increase his pain threshold. Crazy thing is, now he is pulling a Bruce Jenner and is a cross-dresser/transgender. Guess when I think of it, that takes balls.

"Danger is real, fear is a choice".

While I was (really) young, much bigger people could intimidate me, for example while going out. I've found my solution in Krav Maga (together with working out). Due to my job, I work at (big) clubs and (huge aswell as small) events and festivals in my country (and beyond border sometimes), in the security (management) industry. I have to deal with violence quite often. Yet, intimidating does not happen anymore.

Working out and practising Krav Maga often (4-5 times per week and 3 trainings per week) I really become more fearless. However, Krav Maga will learn you not to be a cowboy; there's no need to always fight the fear or the risk; if you can run away to escape from a danger (such as a fight) - do it. Krav Maga however does learn you too how to deal with situations in which you cannot escape anymore. Having such background, you learn 'Semper Vigilans' - always vigilant.  Analyze the dangers and risks around you, but not in an extreme - be prepared, not scared.

Great topic! :)

Edit; made my occupation a bit more vague.

fear comes when you think something bad will happened to you and you think you can't stop or handle it.
face the fear with change your mindset.

That might be correct indeed. However, it is not just about changing your mindset. By for example practising Martial Arts or self-defense tactics, you will increase your capability of dealing with specific situations (that might cause fear in the first place). By doing this, there are more situations about which you think you can deal with (and this reduces your fear).

Be prepared, not scared.

Fear is just a state of mind. The only person who really has control over your mind is you. Stop worrying about the outcome of any situation and just do it. You have to take risk in life or your life will get boring.

Do the things that scares you. Once you’ve noticed the fear inside you, remind yourself that it’s all in the mind and that 80% of fears NEVER HAPPEN.

Do the things that scares you. Once you’ve noticed the fear inside you, remind yourself that it’s all in the mind and that 80% of fears NEVER HAPPEN.

Does reminding yourself that the chance that a particular fear is becoming reality is quite small, helps you release the fear? I don't really agree with that. The fact that something might happen, regardless of the chance, causes fear in that case.

Preparing yourself to deal with specific kinds of your actual fear works better I guess; because you know you can do anything about it. That's better than only thinking 'that won't happen to me because the chance is so small..'.
