Nxt has two web wallets, the second is: https://nxtblocks.info/#wallet

FYI, Nxt has an iOS as well the Android app. As I see a pattern emerging fomr your last two threads  :D

These are third party devs that have built these, on top of Nxt, and aren't related to the core.

Nxt also has the mofowallet, which you can download or run through the browser.

http://www.mofowallet.com/

Again, this is developed by third party developers rather than the Nxt core devs (Nxt is intended to grow beyond the core devs and that is why so many APIs are provided. See http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Nxt_API).

BTC: Xapo & Bitgo are definitely web wallets and both are free for consumers. With Bitgo, you get 2 out of 3 keys, with Xapo you get no keys. If I had to give BTC to my family and didn't want them to lose it, I'd use Xapo. 90% of of people are not ready to become their own banks.

it's not listed in bitcoin.org either because of several hacks.

it's not reliable.

Says another legendary:
There is no secure web wallet, and blockchain.info is the absolute worst currently operating (if you can even call what it does horrifically, "operating").

@BitcoinNational I run this service. As far as I am aware we are in good standing ;).

We have been running since Nov. 2013.

We are seeing thousands of incoming (mostly small) transactions every day. As such incoming deposits are a bit slow at the moment. We plan to fix this issue soon.

Withdrawals are almost instant.

Recently we added POS pool functionality which is working well.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I agree with the latter legendary member. It is the most high fee operating web wallet for small transactions. I've had almost all of what I was trying to send garnered by fees. That is not a favourable wallet when there are so many more options available that have low fees or no fees at all.

ethought is top notch, he has a long proven record, and I'd back his services.
Very glad to discover he's running said service.  Neat discovery.

But yes web wallet in general are not wise.
But the fact is people will use them for the convience.

I still choose blockchain

Title: Re: Best WEB wallets
Post by: BitcoinNational on August 27, 2015, 04:35:30 AM
I still choose blockchain

yes the wise will go with the chain and holding their own keys be their own bank and vault keep

but lets not forget there is no global shortage on fools and idiots

now here's the kicker

How many block chains are you willing to maintain on your computer?

see it now?

Say you hold 25 different coins ... then you are likely to keep 20/25 on someone elses priv keys.
But there are web wallets that keep no record of the priv key, so act like a virtual real wallet, you're still the key master.

anyone remember the name of the first big webwallet scam?

With blockchain.info you can also sign messages, so far no online wallet can do this.
Not even conbase's webwallet.

Not even conbase's webwallet.

Coinbase also allows users to sign message from their address.
Just google coinbase sign message and you will find a tutorial

What about cryptonator guys? I heard that nowadays it has turned into scam with lot of unconfirmed transactions? Is that true? Anyone is using cryptonator wallet here? Actually I was searching for a good blackcoin wallet in the google. Then I came across this . When enquired about this in the faucethub chat , there some people were complaining about it. Can anyone suggest me a good wallet for blackcoin?

Some reading if you decide to go with a blockchain.info

I'd recommend you apply ALL the security features.

mew is indeed good wallet for eth but that does not mean it is already important. there is no important wallet here in crypto because all of the wallets are still the same. all of them do have the same purpose which is to hold or store your coins. for me , i think the most important thing is that you have a cash to spend on, to be able to buy a crypto coin so that you can make use of these web wallets.

it is also important to handle them with care because the security of web wallets are pretty weak when compared to the security of an hardware or offline wallets .

web wallet i will suggest blockchain info for bitcoin and MEW/Metamask for ethereum and ERC tokens .
But i strongly recommend you to store any coin or token in hardware wallet for complete safety . web wallet are not as secure as hardware wallet .
