I'm sure everyone here knows Decksperiment and is well aware of his abusive nature. Just in the last day or so he's attacked at least 8 people (including myself) and that's only what I know of. I try to ignore this idiot most of the time, but as he all too often attacks people and then, to make matters worse, even has the nerve to claim he's the one being attacked... well, that just takes the cake. He's taken it upon himself to come after me personally by approaching the mods in the thread 'Moderation of (possible) FUD and insults' (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=787267.msg10796810#msg10796810) and even posted blatant lies and slanderous remarks in my trust rating.

What do you think?

Should I be happy to have one person finally take the time to leave me a trust rating? /s

Isn't it about time BCT got rid of this abusive moron?

Now's your chance to speak up. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Let's send the mods a clear message.

1) I think BCT would be better off without him. I'd like to see him gone.

2) I like morons. His abusive nature is refreshing.

As much as the dumb clown picks on me, I kinda feel sorry for him. So, I had this idea. Let BCT start a forum entitled Children and Morons. Posters who were constantly offensive - Decky often obliterates my posts simply by making numerous babbling posts that hide anything that I have to say - could be moved to the C and M forum for a number of days or months where they could ramble. They might even make good friends of some of their own kind in there, and decide to stay. Who knows, if they all type as fast as Decky, it might become one of the largest forums in BCT. Then, if one of us ever wants to drop by and say "hi," we would know where to find them. After their time was up, they could be allowed out into the "world" again... unless it was proven by their actions in C and M that they were as bad as or worse than before.

Personally, I find them very entertaining when they get like that, it means they know they've lost because they haven't gotten to you through their usual tactics ;)

Amusing idea, but I don't think that's how rehabilitation works. If we concentrate them in their own sub-forum, they'll just grow and grow, absorbing more "normal" members, until C&M is all that is left of the forum. ;D

At any rate, I haven't really followed what went on with Decksperiment, and to be honest, I don't usually read through his posts in any detail, much like I seldom do with BitMos, or BADecker (sorry BADecker :)), or a few others, and when I do read through his posts, I often have a hard time following his reasoning. But I tend to agree with Lethn on this one: effectively censuring and banning him because of his abusive nature alone might do more harm than good, and would probably set a precedent for a number of other users to be banned. Further, there is no reason to believe that would actually solve anything, as creating/buying new accounts is not hard. Then again, I haven't really had to deal with him (or others like him) so far, so it might be easy for me to say this.

And, Lethn. There's gotta be a way to limit a joker who types like the wind, seems to have multiple personalities, and wants to bash just about anyone because he doesn't understand even when someone else is of the same opinion as he.

Sure, this is an open forum, and we can expect lots of controversy at times, but shouldn't a person who is simply out there bashing with 70 or 80% of what he says be considered some kind of a troll, just to keep the whole operation civil?

On the other hand, in Decky's case, his big bashing is usually limited to the Scientific proof that God exists? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=737322.0) thread. So, he actually limits himself sort of.

I guess I don't know what the answer is.

Well, as you can plainly see now, he's not only abusive, but he's also delusional and slanderous. Like BADecker pointed out, he's also quite a proficient poster, able to make dozens of delusional and slanderous posts against anyone who exposes him, effectively derailing any thread in the process as well. As I found out yesterday, he also has no problem with abusing the trust system either. (Check my trust rating to see what he wrote.) Frankly, I don't see how anyone can support this kind of behavior, as libel, slander and being a public nuisance are all not protected by the freedom of speech/expression.
I advocate the right to freedom of speech/expression, but with this fundamental right comes responsibilities and those who abuse and misuse it should be held accountable. In the case of Decksperiment, I think a ban is appropriate and would benefit this forum greatly.

The big issue, now, is, Decky won't respond, hoping that the thread will die.

Have you ever known him to give up on ANYTHING? I did notice his trust rating has suffered greatly, going from a -8 to a -17 in just one day! :P

Coincidentally, I gave my very first negative rating to Decksperiment and my first positive one to Vod, today.  8)

As of right now, Decky's last post is dated at March 17, 2015, 07:51:26 PM. I know people need to sleep once in a while. But this is kinda long for Decky, isn't it?

The forum has been quite pleasant the last couple days in his absence.  :)

I once more implore the admins to protect the (decent) members of this forum by ridding BCT of the cancerous troll that is Decksperiment. (And, even to a lesser extent, his spam.)

I agree.  Dank was banned for the same reason - incoherent nonsense posts.

Is against the forum rules be a troll? It can really be a big news for a lot if users and all they should be banned.

Dank wasn't a troll - he was just posting nonsense that no one else could understand.  No forum needs that - it contributes nothing.

Decksperiment is doing the same thing - except he posts his nonsense over and over in a dozen concurrent posts, stifling any chance for intelligent any kind of conversation.

I'm confident the forum staff will make/have made the proper decision.
