Streaming on Netflix currently, highly recommend it. Here's the trailer for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odUHtBIoabc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odUHtBIoabc) Title: Re: The Documentary thread, Post your favorites. Post by: Chef Ramsay on March 18, 2015, 02:35:48 AM I also highly recommend the youtube doc of "The Power of Nightmares" which kinda timelines and shows the background info showing the Middle East rise of radical Islam. It's quite a non-exciting but very informational doc and I hope the interested viewers can just get themselves through the hr long footage when you have some spare time, bookmark it. It's been quite a while since I viewed it and I wish I could sell it further and offer more thorough insight into the contents. But, the first five minutes will give you the template. I'm telling ya, the historical footage and info gathering and showing is what makes this second to none if this is of interest to ya and want to see the backdrop of the original US involvement over there that the neocons would not want you to see.

Title: Re: The Documentary thread, Post your favorites. Post by: NUFCrichard on March 19, 2015, 03:26:26 PM Zeitgeist FTFY.I liked Fat,sick and nearly dead 1, and fat head. Both about nutrition, both from different sides. If you like US sports, the ESPN 30 for 30 series are really good. Catching Hell and Slaying the Badger are my favourite 2 that I have watched there, they are both on youtube. @Jaysabi - I will watch Inside the Federal Reserve, it sounds interesting, thanks for the tip. It is about a duo who go searching for a musician who failed in the west, but his CD's made it to Africa dn he became the most influential muscian of that time period in that area. A great watch.

I happened to watch this on TV by chance....a devastating experience. For me it was like a glimpse into hell. To offset this with beauty: Planet Earth and Blue Planet, both fantastic series by the BBC Sound City, about the famous recording studio of the same name. If you're into music you need to watch this. A documentary about how PR came to be - and how it fool us way way more than we think. I urge everyone to watch this, it's 90 minutes worth spending instead of watching a hollywood movie. PR is such a big part of our daily life so it's a good thing to know this information! Title: Re: The Documentary thread, Post your favorites.
