Quote Futures trading platform BitVC has announced it will no longer offer litecoin futures to its users, as it shifts its focus to bitcoin. The platform, a subsidiary of Chinese exchange Huobi, said that the decision was taken "due to a lack of user demand", and the "growing consensus that the world will only have one cryptocurrency value". It is a bit faster than bitcoin to confirm, otherwise I see almost no innovation. Primecoin, peercoin, NXT and many others have lots of interesting new aspects about them. Litecoin doesn't. Good call by BitVC, concentrate on the central market being sucessful, then look at peripheral markets. Title: Re: BitVC Ceases Litecoin Futures Offering to Focus on Bitcoin Post by: randy8777 on March 20, 2015, 10:55:21 AM it's good that they put the focus only on bitcoin now. that being said, litecoin has decent volume spreaded over several exchanges.
i wonder what this will do with the litecoin price as it already had a good beating last months. It's just a matter of time before the last few king size bag holders/early adopters dump their stash on the market out of boredom. Has anyone tried BitVC to generate compound interest with their BTC holdings tho? |
