Title: [2015-03-20] Mish's Economic Analysis -Bitcoin vs. Uber: Bitcoin Lovers Respond
Post by: Black Arrow on March 20, 2015, 01:58:01 PM
Popular blogger Mike Shedlock includes a long thoughtful post from a crypto-currency advocate, but nevertheless concludes that government will be able to crush Bitcoin even though it hasn't been able to crush Uber. He says the difference is that the masses demand Uber but the masses don't demand Bitcoin or even know what it is.

Who? I haven't heard this guy's name being brought up in years. If I remember correctly, he used to try and nip at Peter Schiff's heels back when I still liked the guy.

The masses... they might use Uber, but Bitcoin's important users are mostly in a higher hierarchy, and that's who governments will care about.
Plus, both bitcoin and Uber have one thing in common - if you crush the specific technology, another similar one will pop up the day after.

Yes, this is the guy Peter Schiff went off on a while back.
