Title: BTCGuild and namecoin address Post by: c26zwj on August 10, 2012, 08:13:54 PM Every namecoin address I tried entering in their site says the address is invalid. First I tried creating my own address with the namecoind. For example I generated N93LX8jYrbtjkVzVGrgjavDRfeTNF3WHt7 and N9DKHNjA7eCpXKFQtHGkKCh8WwJTzRqHCY but when I go to BTCGuild and clicked "Change NMC Wallet" and enter these, it tells me the address is invalid. I thought maybe I did something wrong so I created an account on Vircurex (https://vircurex.com/) and clicked "Grnerate Address" beside NMC in my account. I copied this address and went to my BTCGuild account and clicked "Change NMC Wallet" again. I pasted the address from Vircurex (https://vircurex.com/) and it told me it was invalid too. I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong and would appreciate any help.
Title: Re: BTCGuild and namecoin address Post by: eleuthria on August 10, 2012, 08:58:54 PM Please try again, I've been doing a lot of backend work the last 48 hours, which included taking out one of the backend servers that ran a namecoind (used to validate your address). I've updated the page to point to a different namecoind server, so it should work now.
