Title: Marketplace > Wanted
Post by: PrintCoins on August 11, 2012, 05:31:45 PM
I think there should be a wanted section in the marketplace. I want something that no one is currently offering, and I don't see anywhere to put that type of post.

Another unrelated forum I use has a Wanted area.  It's used OFTEN.  I'm surprised there is not already a Wanted area here.   :'(

I support it.  It's only logical to split it into two sections.  "buying" and "selling".

The market had a buying and selling subforums long ago, but it was ditched to go to services/goods since people could never figure out which place to put stuff. If there is something you want, start a thread in goods or services or whatever category it goes under.

I think the problem was with the wording of the sections primarily. They were labeled "Buying" and "Selling", which depending on what perspective you look at the transaction could be a completely arbitrary decision. Say I have an apple, and I need 1 Bitcoin. I could post "Selling apple one  Bitcoin" or "Buying 1 Bitcoin In Exchange For An Apple". The sections could possibly be labeled "Wanted" And "Selling" in order to alleviate this confusion some what.

I support this on the condition that they be clearly labeled to show who is doing the buying and selling.
