Post by: MiniBullDozer on April 08, 2015, 01:06:52 PM
Which ones do you all prefer best ?
I live on east coast of the usa, so I thought BTC florida would do.
Would that be best for me or something official you all use ?

You want to mine and want to know which pool to use?

If yes, I recommend using Eligius, Slush's and Ghash.io.

It desn't depend on location if you have fast enought connection.
I recomend u slush's pool even throught they are located in EU it doesn't matter at all, i mined there.
I think their miner registration address it mining.bitcoin.cz btw.

If you are want to use pools, then I suggest using, BTC Guild, they are one of the oldest remaining Bitcoin pools, BTC Guild is a mining pool that uses PPLNS (Pay per Last N Shares), very simple but clean interface, all statistics that need for a miner.

I would advise against mining with your personal computer using GUIMiner, since it will result in no earnings at all, and you might end up destroying your computer.

Mining is now dominated by specialized hardware called ASICs, and unless you have very cheap electricity and a lot of hashpower, you won't profit.

You know that mining is not profitable nowadays? Only with huge investments and cheap electricity you can make a little profit.

Not true in all cases with asics and low priced electricity.

But in this case if our using GUIMiner for CPU/GPU those day's are long gone.  I have a feeling OP is in this area.  If so I suggest not mining.
