And how that 9 people who really bought from me didn't have any complain and now this guy come out.

Vods opinion has more weight here than that of others. You can discuss the topic with Vod personally or just accept it. Vod is the only one that can remove it.

Why did this get moved to meta? Seemed reasonably placed in scam accusations, in that it doesn't fit great in either.

Try to convince him that you're selling legit things. Vod is well known as a scam buster here and many trust his judgement.

it is regarding trust left by vod and vod is in the default trust network.

I think VoD works in microsoft, so pretty much that he knows selling those keys are illegal or its a waste of money buying it.

There have been problem with MSDN sales. Search in Meta and in Scam Accusations.


Can you please clarify? AFAIK it is used for development and testing. It can be sold only if you have license. Isn't it misleading?

You can leave someone a trust feedback even though you haven't deal with them in the past. And also, maybe Vod spotted something suspicious in your sales that's why he left you with such a feedback. He doesn't simply do that to users, he probably got his reasons before taking those actions. Might as well settle this with Vod and convince him to remove the negative feedback, but I don't think he would do it unless you've proven yourself as a legit seller and a trustworthy member of this forum.

Selling MSDN keys without license is against thier terms, so he can't prove he is legit. Another thing is, the keys he sold have chance to be disabled. It can also be disabled if he sell a key to more people.

So only way for feedback to get removed is by stopping the sale.

No, depending on the level of your subscription you are also allowed production (non-test & development) use of certain types of Microsoft software included with the subscription. For example you are allowed to use one production copy of Office, Visio, Project, etc., if you have a higher subscription such as MSDN Premium or Ultimate. However, even if you are only allowed to use one copy of Office for production use, the subscription might come with 10 so called retail keys (which you can activate several times, unlike real retail keys), so in theory you could still use a legit subscription illegally. An example of this if you have an MSDN subscription from work and installed copies of Outlook on your work computer and your home computer (unless you were specifically using one copy for doing Outlook-related software development).

As soon as there is a lot of people who sell this , i assume that i can sell that too .
And since there isn't a RULE for not selling this keys , i am allowed to do that here

Don't they block accounts if they found you are selling invitations? If yes, wouldn't it also affect buyers?

They're using BizSpark MSDN accounts. Those are intended for start-up companies to get started with Microsoft products.

It's kind of the-first-shot-is-free marketing. If the start-up grows they may be hooked on Microsoft products and more likely to buy proper licences. However those accounts are widely abused, as demonstrated here.

Why everytime that there is a problem, someone will open a thread instead to try discussing with the other user through PM (personal message)? *just a general question, not regarding only with the OP but with all the users who have opened a thread here in this section.

As you can see there are more member who sell this stuff and ME , i'm not selling keys or something else .
I'm selling my startup so it's not my bussines what the buyer do with keys

Many users want the other party to be hurt alongside them, rather than actually to actually resolve the problem. And that is the purpose of their threads.

lol, the neg should be removed, did VOD go in the future and predict what will happen? here is what VOD said

"Selling stolen MSDN Admin invites. They will stop working in the future. "

and did he know for sure that the accounts were stolen?

He works at Microsoft, so its possible he would have access to tools to determine the viability of the invites.

Considering all these sellers are teenagers, it's a safe bet.   ;)

The OP can show me proof he purchased these keys, and I'll be happy to remove the negative feedback and issue an apology.

Because that might happen in the future. And if something like that can happen this is a scam, is like selling television that i know will stop working in a few weeks.

And this posts are super annoying already, 1 of every 5 posts here in meta are against Vod

We are a lot of sellers who have 100% positive feedbacks and this random guy screw us just because he is older than us here ...

Did you provide proof of ownership yet? Because if you havent his feedback is 100% legit

Think about it.  If I were to steal cars and sell them for 1/20th their value, I'd have nothing but positive feedback as well.   :-\
