Looks like it but with experience I've came to accept those that look like utter crap are often the best picks.

Use the high diff ports you'll have better luck. if you are nicehashing start with a smaller order and increase it, should fix your issue.

Single Asics, I'd say this is good up to 3-5 TH/s per worker:
stratum1.suchpool.pw:3323
stratum2.suchpool.pw:3323

Anything bigger AND anything nicehash should go here: (diff 1024-20048 target 2048)
stratum1.suchpool.pw:23323
stratum2.suchpool.pw:23323

I threw some hashpower at it from my farm just for fun. Who knows right?

Suchpool.pw - is as always hashing just great. Other pools of course are important but it looks like they pulled off another smooth launch.

Trying hard to keep consistent good launches! Sometimes we have some mishaps like others, but today was a good day!

Btw, I dropped down confirmations at 35 for the pool. The coin daemon looks like it suggests 10 confirmations but I feel safer at 35 in case of forks, lets us more room to react and prevent issues.

I mine with my own asic and I get the full reported speeds on my SP20's interface and on the pool..

Maybe if you contact support to get this checked out we can fix it *if* there is any issue. Please know that hashrate takes ~15 mins to adjust fully on the pool.

Yeah the wallet logo is a little better. Except quartz comes more is the form of a 6 sided spiked prism, not a icosahedron. Reminds me of D&D. Hope this coin rolls a 20.

I was expecting to have staked some by now according to the source, will await the dev's reply on it.

Quote
unsigned int nStakeMinAge = 60; //One minute
unsigned int nStakeMaxAge = -1;  // Infinite
unsigned int nModifierInterval = 10 * 60; // Quartz - time to elapse before new modifier is computed

I think it's a good thing staking isn't working yet given the specs listed. Makes distribution much more fair. This is a +1 for the coin.

With block rewards this high at the start, early investors are rewarded for the risk of mining something with a shitty ANN.

The shitty ann serves a purpose in case you aren't aware.

But the wallet looks like some effort was put in, so I agree, probably going to be a good

People really don't know what the word scam means. Selling an IPO and then running with the money would be a scam. One of those hasn't happened since the bathrobe guy.

idk if this is good thing...isnt it possible someone has fixed their own wallet and is raking in all pos? Maybe even unusually silent dev?

according to source info pos starts at block 2700

Quote from: bitbucket
Block Reward Schedule - Dynamic Proof of Stake Phase
Block 2700 to 4000 20 QTZ +30000 total
Block 4001 to 6600 30 QTZ +60000 total
Block 6600 to 6700 200 QTZ +20000 total
Block 6701 to 8500 30 QTZ +54000 total
Block 8501 to 10000 100 QTZ +150000 total
Block 10001 to 20000 20 QTZ +200000
Block 20001 to 21000 100 QTZ +100000
Dynamic POS last approx one month. End Block 21,000
Total Approx Coins from first month of Dynamic POS: 614,000
Total Approx Total Coins 1.5m
After block 21,000 POS goes to approx 9% yearly.

Confirms the page 3 post. This is cloned from Tron. Good choice.  :D

Title: Re: QTZ Quartz FOR THE MINERS
Post by: SockPuppetAccount on April 26, 2015, 11:05:51 AM
Yes, it is a TRON clone but in main.cpp you can see

 miner's coin stake reward based on coin age spent (coin-days)
int64_t GetProofOfStakeReward(int64_t nCoinAge, int64_t nFees)
{
    int64_t nSubsidy = 0;
    int nHeight = pindexBest->nHeight;
    if (nHeight <= 100) {
            nSubsidy = 0 * COIN;
        }
    else if (nHeight <= 1000)       {
            nSubsidy = 1000 * COIN;
        }
    else if (nHeight <= 5000)       {
            nSubsidy = 125 * COIN;
        }
    else if (nHeight <= 7500)        {
            nSubsidy = 300 * COIN;
        }
    else if (nHeight <= 10000)        {
            nSubsidy = 500 * COIN;
        }
    else if (nHeight <= 11000)        {
            nSubsidy = 50 * COIN;
        } else {
        nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8);  //default 1% yr
    }

    if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
        printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRId64"\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge);

    return nSubsidy + nFees;
}

and in main.h you can see

static const int MODIFIER_INTERVAL_SWITCH = 100;

So it appears POS should be kicked in by now and the reward schedule is properly coded, so I don't know why POS isn't kicking in.  I am not going to even pretend to be a competent coder though.  I just know bits and pieces from looking at source code of coins.

The logo isn't important at last, this coin hasn't block explorer yet, so the only exchanges can add it are Empo and Yobit.

Over 5PH right now. No exchange, so can't sell coins to buy more hash. No way to calculate mining profitability, yet.

Block 893 right now. So 107 more blocks for 1000 coins. But 125 is not bad either. Unfortunately, the staking is competing with the POW.

Just set up your pool to send coins direct to your wallet frequently. The transaction fee is pretty low on suchpool. Not sure about the other pools. It's good to have multiple inputs.

Or are you talking about PoS blocks? Get your facts straight and stop with the FUD

I understand your point. If we had an exchange to value the coins, then we could determine if it makes more sense to buy or mine them to stake.

That's usually the case lately - save the flashy stuff for middle or after PoW phase. Latest example is COVEN wich is also based on the tron wallet and that turned out alright, though it would still be higher had the dev fixed the slow chain on time, but still managed a pretty strong floor.

At 50M difficulty, 3850 sats on C-Cex, expected revenue is .0077 BTC per TH per day from mining. Lowest cost to rent on nicehash is .0091. However, this coin stakes well, so you might just be able to make it worth your while.

Hard to say, with the PoS already in, it will reduce the PoW supply.

yea i believe this is a tron clone base

it might be... lol

I'm cool with clones, just usually like to see all the logos removed by the dev/clone team thats all. I'm wondering if the plan is to implement a new wallet after PoW or what.

That's usually the case lately - save the flashy stuff for middle or after PoW phase. Latest example is COVEN wich is also based on the tron wallet and that turned out alright, though it would still be higher had the dev fixed the slow chain on time, but still managed a pretty strong floor.

you could also say:

make a super lame ann so you can mine yourself cheaply but can still claim it was "fairly" launched, then dump your bag once you made a c+p roadmap and let the coin die. Good stuff.

Download link works fine just checked it.. maybe the site is blocked or something in your area. plus it's a rar, so you'll need either 7zip, or winrar to decompress. if youre using firefox or chrome there is an addon you can use for mega the site that may help by going to find addons in your browser

i'd upload it somewhere else but that is really frowned upon here due to all the scams and malware getting posted on here. plus you should always download from the op or the actual site of the coin. try downloading with one of these browser apps
if your using Firefox

It's been a while?  These are almost daily at the moment.

Really? I must be both deaf and blind  :o
I thought (hope) the era of scam coins was over by now  :(

People really don't know what the word scam means. Selling an IPO and then running with the money would be a scam. One of those hasn't happened since the bathrobe guy.

I agree that there is different levels of scams, the scenario with selling an IPO is fraud, you can go to jail for that.

Making a pump and dumb coin is also a scam in my book, nobody really belive that QTZ will be the payment system of tomorrow - everybody know that this is about getting as many coins as possible and dump them at the right time, nobody is buying in to hold this for a long time (+10 years). Its only about who gets the coins and sell them at the right time. There will be many loosers but only a few winners.

This this coin is designed for this sole purpose, hoping some venture cryptocoiners will buy in, and get punished for their greed, thus making it a scam.

I think if you look at investing for profit in general; players are in the game to make as much profit as possible, typically in the shortest possible time frame. (Leaving long term investments/nest eggs/IRA/401Ks aside - as those aren't "active investments" - rather passive/long term/personal insurance policies).

Real estate, stocks, currency trading, bonds, futures, options, commodities, the list goes on - to quote you "It's all about who gets the (fill in the blank--coin--land--future--stock ipo--) at the right price and sells them at the right time. There will be many losers and few winners."

Long term investments are an important part of an investment portfolio. Altcoins; none of them-- are "long term" investments. The entire crypto-currency industry is still too new to even know if any coin - even Bitcoin; will be here in 2, 3, let alone 10 years.

Altcoins are a playground for ideas, experimentation, and speculation-- many will call it pump and dump/scam coins; but let's not forget coins like Doge... Which was created as a joke and turned into a huge market cap, brand, and icon of the entire industry.

Altcoins are a platform for innovation. For testing ideas. For testing the market. For seeing what works and what doesn't. A place to see what the users will embrace and flock towards, or what users will find no interest in or see no utility of a said's coin's concept. And it is anyone's right to willing decide to become a "Dev"- launch a coin-- put it out there-- and see if people buy in.

As for Quartz. It is meerly a player within this highly volitile; here today, gone the next battlefield which we all willingly chose to be a part of.

While there are in fact scams; where people are defrauded-- they are lied to-- they are cheated-- the code is rigged-- yes this does happen, and it's a shame. Actual fraud should be investigated and put to a stop. But I don't see proof of that here. I see a project that's a soft launch- but it looks like they are doing things (logo has been updated-- thankfully for them).

While I have nothing to do with Quartz other than I mined a bit; as I did Neutron, Sling, Enigma, all of these little micro-coins that have had quick ninja launches-- I do think it's unfair to label it a scam coin-- or label the dev's as anything but new players in the field.

Anyone-- everyone here reading this, has the right to learn how to code, launch, and market a coin all on their own. As long as their is no intent to defraud, no hidden code, or hidden premines/block rewards - it's fair game; and investors know the risks going in.

I have been shocked on more than one, more than ten, more than-- you get the point... occasion to see a little nothing coin have a very low key launch; and end up going up up up... Amazing sometimes just how high these currencies can go. To see a little nothing coin go from 1000 satoshis to 25,000 satoshis with 500 btc in volume on Bittrex-- coins all now long forgotten.

Yes. Some people will get burned. Some people will win big.

Do your homework. Diversify. Don't risk what you can't afford to lose. And choose wisely.

Let's see where Quartz goes.

Dude, it should have been written in red capital letters, I suggest you to buy QTZ now, because Bittrex for this coin may be a surprise, then you have to buy at 5K sat, because it will be the minimum price for this promising coin. She once went on 3 exchanges. Bittrex, and possibly Cryptsy and Poloniex already on the way.

Strato

Dude, it should have been written in red capital letters, I suggest you to buy QTZ now, because Bittrex for this coin may be a surprise, then you have to buy at 5K sat, because it will be the minimum price for this promising coin. She once went on 3 exchanges. Bittrex, and possibly Cryptsy and Poloniex already on the way.

Very well said to the both of you

I see your point Stratobitz . My intention was not to spread FUD. Sorry about that. QTZ is what its is. Nothing more nothing less. And as pointed out, there have been far more shady coins out there. People should do with their funds as they like. I think your formulation about altcoins being a playground is true. I saw a funny meme the other day, it was something like "Nerds became market analysit - since 2009"

Honestly the logo caught my attention, the LTC with QTZ on top, thought it was a little too quick and dirty (I will not use the word scam again). I have not been involved in altcoins for a long time, I am actually thinking about getting a few Spread coins, since the concept is refreshing new. But that is another topic.

Good luck to all with QTZ.

It's no worries. I think the community in general is of course on high alert-- with good reason. The recent $BT incident is reason enough for people to be cautious.

But I also think that our community really needs to take a step back from the false labeling, or premature labeling of crypto-products as scams or frauds; because more often than not-- truthfully; most often; the judgement and negative label is in fact incorrect; and is based solely on the marketability merits; or whether or not the coin is a "clone" -- ALL altcoins are clones-- of Bitcoin. They are all based on 0.00000000 -- eight decimal places. Every Alt is a clone. Every alt.

Going back to my original point-- in a free market it's anyone's right to create; market; launch; and sell a product-- a cryptocurrency, here in our community.

And just because a coin is direct copy/clone or has terrible marketing, or lack of information-- doesn't make it a case of fraud. It might just be a poor product. And in a free market the poor products are weeded out, and the great products rise to the top.

But again no worries. Who know's where Quartz is headed-- or what the Dev team will announce tomorrow, next week, or never. Right?

We do in fact have a block explorer we are getting online today. No sense in paying for it when all the script exist for free.
We will put the explorer up tonight, and release our roadmap later today as well.
Stay tuned for updates. I will keep everyone updated in the threads and twitter.

Sounds good. While you are at it, can you fix your overview on the github? I know you guys borrowed some of the code from another coin (nothing wrong with that, why reinvent the wheel), but to have the other coin's block schedule in the overview gives fuel to troll fire.

Before your last update an hour ago. When you went to overview, it had another coins block schedule.It's fixed now. Just like your wallet had the other coin's graphics when you went to "about quartz," But that is fixed now too. But some people may still have the old wallet though.

Yes, to block 5000. But it may be more profitable to just buy the coin outright and start staking. We are on block 3655.

i'd upload it somewhere else but that is really frowned upon here due to all the scams and malware getting posted on here. plus you should always download from the op or the actual site of the coin. try downloading with one of these browser apps
if your using Firefox
Code:

if your using chrome
Code:

Thanks guy's it was Internet Explorer that would not let me download, chrome no proplem. ;D

Hey, the total coin supply listed on the block explorer and shown when you run getinfo in the client is off by around 30k-ish coins.  I know I am not on a fork or anything because I compared the block hashes.  Just wanted to be sure that discrepancy gets addressed because after the BT debacle I get the feeling it may become an issue if bittrex is considering listing.

A placeholder roadmap is better than no roadmap at all, so will put up an update article on the site later today.

Decent network staking weight so far as well!

Coinbase has also gone dark. It's not just C-CEX. Looks like there may be issues on the BTC Blockchain.

Not sure about other exchanges.

OK. But if the exchange is running the old wallet; which they have to, run a full wallet; and the nodes the Dev programmed in to the wallet are not functioning, then in-out commands would not work.

Meaning it might be the qt wallet and NOT the exchange.

Block 2 has 1000 block reward it should have been 0. but block 3-100 is 0 rewards. (also block 1)

I could not find out where is other 33.480 coins comming from.

Am I the only one that finding it alarming that 30K coins are not accounted for?
I do not have the compentences to check if this is true, any body with stake in this game,
should check what happend to theese coins.

30k coins is nothing. The supply will be in the millions. If there was going to be hidden blocks or a pre-mine it would be more than 30k blocks. EDIT:  Coins

What I find baffling is when the block reward turned to 300, the exchange C-CEX stopped allowing QTZ withdrawals. Likely because they are running the QT with the old nodes (Just a theory).

Odd is all I'm saying. But coins in exchanges, which is a huge supply according to the block explorer will not be reaping the rewards of the hiPOS system.

Hmmmm.

Yeah, 30k coins isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.  It wouldn't make sense for a hidden block or pre-mine to only be for a measly 30k coins.  Why the discrepancy then?

I just resynced from scratch with the new client and the nodes listed in the ANN.  Compared the block hash and as of block 5132, I am synced with the explorer and the discrepancy remains.

Huh?  Whats a withdrawal transaction.

There are inputs and outputs.

The explorer shows more outputs than inputs, hence, a negative balance which shouldn't happen.

I'm trying to give our dev the benefit of the doubt here.  Can we get a new block explorer?  I've seen this style block explorer give wonky information before on other coins so possibly something is wrong there.

Look again.  That is a wallet- not a transaction txid.

Upper Right. Balance. Its a negative balance wallet.

It stems from #4 on the Rich Wallet List.

http://dankexplorer.com/address/RDFGdWEG5jU1JhmNjRscMD3xSwmhXEYCaL

The transactions all lead - and create a loop - to that wallet - which is negative 77,000.

Look at the inputs - upper left.  And outputs - sent. It has sent more than received.

So I've attached a screenshot of this wallet address. It shows the times- which are literally minutes apart from when the Dev uploaded the new wallet with the correct nodes.

The first input (received) was before it was posted (the link to new wallet) - and the double spends are after.

Any experts weigh in here? This to me looks like a fork with double spends that were in fact accepted into the chain, using both sides of the fork.

Look like there is no longer a negative balance on that address.  Now there are like 10 pages of transactions on that account going back a couple of days.  Possibly the block explorer owner is parsing the block chain right now?  If so, hopefully all the errors and the discrepancy in the coin total will go away within a few hours.

Here we have the updates from the Dev. He posted "It's uploading" (in regards to the new wallet); within minutes of the first input of roughly 30k coins - then - after the input - he posted the new wallet - which I think is the fork/double spend/negative wallet balance/extra coins added into the blockchain - that someone has.

There very well may be more of these... But it's late. So I encourage anyone willing to take a look.

Normally I don't feed the trolls but your case is a little special, since you seem a little special. Look at the commit on the latest change to the source. You will see i only changed ONE file. The file I changed was fixing the network issues which was causing people to not be able to find my nodes or sync correctly on to the chain. In other words it had the wrong seednodes in it. So i swapped out the seed nodes to the right one and made doubly sure that all the ips for the nodes were right, they weren't, which was causing people to not be able to sync correctly or even find my nodes. So i pushed the fix asap when I seen the block explorer was on a fork. Everything should have been fixed now and as we speak the block explorer is coming back online. I picked up another 60k from that dump. If you dont want your coins, sell them to me. I will buy them straight from you.

@Stratobitz, dude you are just a little paranoid and just made people dump for no reason, those two are my wallets.

Normally, people wont show their cards but up until now the dev hasn't shown signs of scamming anyone but I understand why you would think otherwise because of a malfunctioning explorer.

Not sure why you guys attack Stratobitz. It is good to have people digging a little bit deeper into things, especially in crypto. He said in a polite way that he might wrong but still thinks it is worth a look. Calm down, nothing wrong about that.

I think he was legitimately concerned, the explorer was showing other things. See my post above.

Not sure why you guys attack Stratobitz. It is good to have people digging a little bit deeper into things, especially in crypto. He said in a polite way that he might wrong but still thinks it is worth a look. Calm down, nothing wrong about that.

Yes, I agree to this. I had a conversaion in this thread with Stratobitz a few pages ago. We clearly have a bit different view on things, but there was no need to be nasty. I clearly respect his opinion and the other way around. I actually find Stratobitz very proffecional to talk with.
See no reason to attack him, he clearly have a lot of stake in this coin (proberly more the the majority of us), so his questions are legit and should be addressed by dev and other in a civil way.

Dev,

Thank you for your response. Personally - I mined this coin. I held through the "questionable time" - my coins were either in C-CEX or were staked. I never sold any, because I wanted to hear from the Dev: And I made that clear. That I wanted others to look to see if this information was correct. It looked questionable, but I wanted other people to see for themselves, because I knew either I could be wrong, or the explorer could be wrong. I stated that multiple times.

And I do appreciate the explanation; and I am sure the community does as well. It seems the price is holding up on C-CEX. I like many others last night was not able to withdraw my coins out of C-CEX due to C-CEX having server problems.

The coin is only a day or so old; it's holding it's price. Its staking well. The roll out and mining, transition process to POS, were all great. Dev, good job on all of that: sincerely!

I know it's already been pointed out-- but I was in no way attempting to mar the reputation of Quartz. I think we can all agree that in the world of Altcoins: We have all seen and/or been burned too many times by things such as what I stumbled across.

That said-- It did happen late at night, which is why I was very clear that "I could be wrong" - or "The Explorer Could be Wrong" - that it might just be incorrect information, which it seems to be the case.

Lets all put this behind us. I am still holding and staking... rewards go up to 500 soon! Let's let the Dev team get back on track to focusing on the development and future of QTZ.

Again, my apologies if I offended anyone, but I genuinely felt after discovering that page it was something, due to the timing, the previous post about 30,000 coins, and the information on the explorer-- that should be brought to the community's attention. But the explanation seems to add up-- and the coin didnt crash which says a LOT.

There was a small dump on C-CEX it looks like, but time stamps show it was well before my post, as in hours.

Again, thanks Dev. I myself, like everyone, are looking forward to the next 1000 rounds of POS and seeing what you have in store for QTZ.

Hopefully this can go back to being a positive thread. :)

Strato

I like the dev of this coin whoever he is. He's taking his time to develop everything himself which shows his developmental chops. I also like that there is an active twitter and new graphics work being done to broaden adoption.

I expect some big things to happen soon, especially with some of the POS megablocks coming. Lets get this on Bittrex and then have Quartz_IO start doing graphics for the upcoming big POS blocks to be had.

I am very sorry if I called out "scam" earlier, it was only because of the dirty litecoin/quartz logo.
I did not do my home work, I was just assuming stuff.

I see that everythings start to be updated, and the new logo and color schemes looks good and much more original.
I understand now, that if you a small team (perhaps only 1 person?), then will you need to implement things in a prioritiezed order,
and logo should have lower priority than the technical stuff.

It's quite alright. Understandably people are on high alert these days because things like that do unfortunately happen.

We're keeping busy and staying on track. While we are a small team. We will be rolling out info on the team shortly, including a host of other information on the future of the QuartzIO platform.

Good things are coming everyone. We're excited to share these developments with you soon.  And of course in the meantime, feel free to post questions!

Here are Raspberry Pi wallets for v1.0.0.0 - both the Qt and the headless daemon.

Important:
1) The wallet was built on a Raspberry Pi2 (ARM7) running Raspbian. It might work on an older Pi but I have not tested it
2) Installation directory where the binaries are installed is ~/opt/Quartz or /home/pi/opt/Quartz
3) All that is needed is to execute the command below on your Pi in a terminal window and afterwards you click on the Quartz icon on the desktop
4) An Internet connection is required for the installation
5) A bootstrap.dat is used to fast track the blockchain sync - up to block 6809
6) You need at least an 8GB memory card
7) The installation itself takes about 30-45min and the loading of the blockchain (once-off) another few minutes since it is still small
8.)You cannot just download the binaries, you have to run the script to get the dependencies as well else it will not run
9) The installation script does not enable the UFW firewall by default. If you want to enable it, uncomment the UFW lines in the script and add the port you want open and run it again or enable it manually by running the UFW commands as in the script with the correct port numbers.

Let me know about any issues that you may encounter.

To kickstart the installation execute the following command at the command prompt or in a terminal window on your Pi:
Code:
wget https://bitbucket.org/jc12345/quartz/downloads/quartz_installation_pi.sh && chmod +x quartz_installation_pi.sh && ./quartz_installation_pi.sh && rm -f quartz_installation_pi.sh

its a common practice you can run however it depends on the memory and CPU speed. i would recomed to use some external HDD with the pi and move your file system to it otherwise your SD card would get screwed in couple of weeks depending on the volume of read/write on it due to transactions or stacking purposes

I would have thought QTZ would have made it to trex before dox, QTZ has a great wallet and awesome early pos stage. I haven't read much of the thread yet.

I'm concerned about the big drop to 1% pos after block 11k,  but if updates/releases start happening before the end of the good pos blocks then it could maintain pretty good.

cheers and glad to be a board

I doubt that this is such a big issue. It might not break in a month or perhaps not even in 6 months. Even if it breaks every month, the Pi runs at 5W of electricity compared to 300W for a normal PC at idle. The electricity savings in a month would more than make up for a new 8GB card if you replace one every month (which is highly unlikely).

You can make an image of your SD card with win32diskimager and if anything ever becomes corrupted you just restore the image to a new card and carry on where you left off.

im not sure if this will help, but i hope it does at least a little.
Here.. it's pretty simple, once you enable coin control in settings go to the send tab. there you will see a button for inputs. Now when you click on that another window opens showing an unexpanded tree of inputs. when you expand this, you will see each input transaction with an amount of coins and the number of confirms each input has. The ones with less than 20 confirms, this only applies to quartz, are unconfirmed if you just staked and wont be displayed, 20 + confirms after a stake they will be displayed. every time you stake, the input will be split into 2 inputs and start the confirm process over. the inputs will progressively get smaller until they no longer have enough weight to stake. i like all my inputs to be above 100 and usually keep them close to 500 coins, so when they split below 100 I simply select those inputs and send them back to my address and those multiple inputs then become 1..

here is a pic.. this was after i staked, it split the inputs, and then i combined them 11 confirms ago.

Now when you click on that another window opens showing an unexpanded tree of inputs. when you expand this, you will see each input transaction with an amount of coins and the number of confirms each input has. The ones with less than 20 confirms, this only applies to quartz, are unconfirmed if you just staked and wont be displayed, 20 + confirms after a stake they will be displayed. every time you stake, the input will be split into 2 inputs and start the confirm process over. the inputs will progressively get smaller until they no longer have enough weight to stake. i like all my inputs to be above 100 and usually keep them close to 500 coins, so when they split below 100 I simply select those inputs and send them back to my address and those multiple inputs then become 1..

here is a pic.. this was after i staked, it split the inputs, and then i combined them 11 confirms ago.
https://i.imgur.com/P6ybcLl.png

thanks for that, I'll play with it a bit more tonight and see if I can figure it out

Just got my first 500 QTZ stake. Feel like I'm nurturing a child lol :)

500 is the current reward schedule for stakes. Here is the PoS reward schedule

Code:
Blocks 100-1000 stake 1k coins
1000-5000 stake 125
5000-7500 stake 300
7500-10000 stake 500
then 10-11k is 50 coins and then it defaults to 1%
1m block times
SHA algo, retarget every block

Min stake age is one minute
No max stake age

And now this..

How can i stake coins?

You first have to have coins in your wallet. Make sure to backup the wallet. Now encrypt it with a password you remember. Restart the client, unlock the encrypted wallet for staking only, if you typed in the password correctly, replace the previous backup of your wallet with the now encrypted one. now wait. Every time your coins are moved you will loose both coin age and weight, so try not to move them. also you want larger chunks, 100 or more coins per input. you will stake faster than coins with less.

If I want stake i must encrypt wallet? Will it stake if I send on my pc wallet coin? - small ammount.

Yes you must encrypt and then unlock the wallet for staking only. The wallet must stay open or you will not stake. If your wallet has 0 coins you will not stake. Your chances of staking a small amount of coins is low. The more coins you have in your wallet, the more chances of a stake. Its kind of like a lottery

Open the Wallet , under the castle is a button which looks like a flash, go with the mouse over it and then you see how long you need to block a reward to get.

Sorry for my English translation is not so good

Encrypting should not be needed for staking.
It sould be possible to stake on a none-encrypted wallet.
However, it is recommended to do.

Correct. Just got another 500 stake. Woo!

The dev would need to chime in on that. But as soon as the 500 rewards are over I think a lot of selling off will happen. Not a lot of buys above 500 on bittrex. I sold off mine earlier but kept some as they announced a rebrand yesterday that looked nice. We will see. I still think big sell off on end of 500 pos reward with the fact there will be people with extra coins now.

Dunno.

Title: Re: [ANN] [QTZ] Quartz - SHA - hiPOS!

I think theres like 3 million coins and there are only coin orders for 100,000 qtz above 1000 satoshi then it drops quick down to like 500 and 300 satoshi.

so a lot of coins will be unstaked because pos ends and then sold off unless there is news.

blood bath coming.

yea and there will be..... major ones. as soon as the pow ends the stake is only 1%. so expect a hailstorm of sells. it will likely happen well before the end as people know its coming. only like 600 blocks left. just checked charts again its thin to 1000 and then goes way low and holders will have to sell cheap unless some big buyers step up. good luck folks.

of course theres going to be dumping up to and after the end of the big pos blocks, it's part of the distribution process of these type of pos coins... first part money is invested by miners, they sell and the new investors are the second part which distributes the coins even more thoroughly... so of course the price will be on a downtrend until the dev/devs give us reason to buy more.

some of those early investors with huge wallets will dump them into the market cheaply, smaller fish like me will likely hold on to the majority of what we have and even buy more at the greatly discounted price if the team/dev "show and prove" with some development.

I've gotten 8 500 coin blocks so far  8) which has over doubled my original holdings

Will be interesting to see how fast/many coins are yanked from Staking Wallets into Bittrex.

Theres not a whole lot of buys above the 1000 mark.

EDIT:  There are currently 1.3 Million Coins Staking.

The coin looks like its being price manipulated with walls.

Also does someone know how to check the source files and code? The block chain balances are showing incorrect. More coins in wallets than there actually are. By a large number.

If you read back in thread you will see posts about how there were negative wallet balances (yes negative) meaning there were either double spends or phantom coins generated. I dont think that was ever addressed by dev.

The block explorer then went down for a day or two and was supposedly fixed. But I am looking through it and seeing odd inconsistencies on wallet balances, some mine, showing coins I dont have... meaning... I am not sure.

The coin price is being pushed up if you havent noticed. Meaning if there are a huge block of unaccounted coins then the price is being moved up with those buy walls to sell into other peoples orders.

Can someone check? I am not a programmer.

considering the big pos blocks just stopped of course people are taking their coins out of their wallets to sell... so of course the price is going to dip before it stabilizes.

lol what do you think coins only go up in price all day every day?

QTZ has been running flawlessly, compared to NTRN or SPHR or etc, etc , etc

so QTZ is looking a heck of a lot better than most new coins lately.

still only 3,6 million coin supply for QTZ and now  we're down to 1% pos! so inflation will pretty much be nill

I agree, QTZ has been flawless in pow/pos stage.  If dev comes back, it should go higher into 2k range and higher if his crappy roadmap is updated.  Either way, it has double dipped and bottom attained. imho.

I actually like the fact that the first part of the roadmap is tame and not trying to be all complex and blowing smoke up our arses.

if they deliver on it with top notch quality, then cryptoland will build confidence that they can accomplish the more difficult tasks in future roadmaps

I mined about 1k QTZ with my S5 and haven't sold any.  I am up to 4008 QTZ with the hiPoS.  I am not currently worried about the progress.  I am going to give the dev time, before i start whining.  lol

Yeah I got about 1k mining and 14k after the hi pos.. not sure how exactly i got so many hi pos blocks, wish I did cause id do the same on other coins with similar reward schedules.. I'll wait for a bit longer before i sell off, but usually no response on the forum in 24hrs, I start selling, 48hrs, i dump, if the buys are there. The only reason I'm waiting here is because the coin is solid. Les hope the dev has something spectacular planned.

Pretty much. Waiting to see if maybe price comes back up a bit so I can exit above 1000 but it's looking doubtful unless Dev makes a release or an announcement. No one knows whats going on?

Its been like 4 days and nothing at all from Dev since it dumped.

Sorry guys!
 I have had such a rough weekend, GF broke her leg so I have been catering to her all weekend. I haven't really had the time to come on these threads and make an appearance. I am here. I am not going to leave this project. I have some updates coming later today (If Its alright that we can release them).
Stay tuned guys! I will keep you all updated on the threads and twitter.

Good work QuartzDev

3659367 and inflation is down to 1% so HiPos is over and dumping should start to slow down if dev returns with some news

EDIT dev is around tho which is a heck of a lot better than a lot of new coins... and his coin works great I still  haven't found one orphan

We will be doing a coinswap and rebranding within the coming weeks, more details will be released when we have hashed out all the fine details. It will be a 1 for 1 coin swap and no extra coins will be premined. We are changing a few specs on the coin itself and figured this is a way to keep everyone engaged and interested. Stay tuned as we hash out the details, I will post them here, Thanks!

Man you logged in after a month? You let this coin fall to 100 sat?
So you already have 90% of coins?

Fuck off dude.  No one is going to support this coin now because we have seen this game played a million times.  We already know you hold virtually all the coins now, you are inexplicably doing a coin swap for what will surely be some vague and nonsensical reason (the true reason being you get to keep all the coins that no one claims during the swap), you will release a fancy roadmap or a sparkly infographic for a bunch of features you will never release, attempt 1 solid pump and dump, and then promptly disappear forever.

QTZ4LYFE!! I am here to support you with many others that I know that hold this coin. Don't let the obvious greedy sock puppets hate on you because they are only in it for the money, the developer always gets blamed for the price even though the two are completely unrelated. Many coins get dumped while devs are even active (TRON) and the FUD continues. all these faggs are just mad they had to cash on a loss, for us WINNERS THOUGH, we will be rewarded! FUCK THE HATERS!
