Didn't sound like they were trying to demystify anything to me.  Just more focus on the negatives and no attempt to explain anything (most likely because they don't know how).  Still, Bitcoin will continue to plow on regardless.

I wouldn't expect much more from CNBC. Their main afternoon/evening host-chick has went to Fox Biz channel and I presume their audience has dwindled even further over the past few years. This is a niche channel that the dwindling retail investor category is viewing. That said, they've never been known for forecasting the best of the likes of bitcoin and merely a station that brokers/hedge funds finance to pump the crap of the past making it easier for heavyweights to cash out and sell bags of the near past to the remnants that take them seriously.
