This is great information for newbies or if you want your relatives to try BTC.

This is really cool. I've never seen a company give out more than a dollar or two per sign up.
Back when Bitcoin was at its peak this would have been worth over $20...

I registered for the first time and i didnt get any free sign up bonus but i completed the steps.

So, uh, stupid question but what does this thing do?  I am too lazy to open my chrome browser and mess about with the play store.  I suggest a few words in the initial post such as "circle is a wallet" or whatever it i.

can you enter fake info? because many will do that using wifi/proxy and other stuff, how they can know who is legit and who not?

Too bad. They dont accept people in the Singapore. I might be using their app if they expanded to Singapore. Singapore is one of the country with the most Bitcoin ATMs.. It is strange that they do not have not expanded to Singapore yet.

It's 2FA phone verification... I guess fast users will be able to use an online free SMS service, coupled with a fake gmail account to create one or two fake accounts, but as soon as all those free numbers were used once, you'll have to use your real phone number to verify

there are many services that offer free numbers, for a lower price than $5, so it might worth it for the worse scammer

It's a lot of work tough... you need to wipe your phone, insert a new sim, register everything (make a new gmail account, probably use a proxy or a VPN so they don't detect the fact that you're alway using the same ISP/IP), install the app, confirm your email and phone number, scan the QR code, send the money to your "main" BTC address => cash out $4.5  8)

If you have access to cheap labor, it should be an "easy" way to make a couple bucks...

also this promotion isn't endless, you must be fast, but for almost 0.02 btc, it is very worth it, a good coder can even come up with a bot for this, imagines the scam now...

use a proxy or vpn, i doubt they are all banned, i did already registered on circle with a fake location even without changing the ip

using vpn/proxy will not help as it requires users to verify their account with a phone number.

it works if you use one of the free available phone number services on the web. most of them have already been used, but there are still free ones.

They should have required users to verify their identity too to make sure it goes to real people.

they will notice it sooner or later. i find it quite weird that circle makes it this easy to abuse their promotion. you would expect them to tighten everything before launching to make sure people don't sign up with fake accounts.

there are service online that provide free numbers like country code, some of them are not free but they offer a trial, and it's all you need

Sad bcz i'll wait a little bit more (until the next one) to give app a try, it seems promissing at least on the field of promoting btc to newcomers that are worried about the volatility of btc and it lack of segure provider (gold for fiat), if they achive it max pottencial they can pretty much give a huge boost on btc community and help it get to the glorious days of a $1000, don't really expecting that much in a close time, but getting past $300 would be a good signal.

That's actually not true. It's because they ran out of funds; the giveaway was only supposed to last 2 days, anyways.

Pretty sure Circle ran out of funds early and quickly because of all the abusers of this giveaway using multiple accounts.

they will never announce it officially because they will never want to stop their download count ..
what they have distributed is worth now they are in extra repo...

Yea i was lucky i saw it here "i was third" and got paid.Things like this are very rare im sure, I mean bitcoin is like gold to me and i'm sure its like that for most.
In order to have multiple accounts you need lots of phone numbers "cells"  I don't think that was the case here. one problem i had was i couldn't put in alabama for my state it would not accept it but i was able to get paid before i filled out all that it was cool...

you should be able to get $50 if you know the giveaway was from announcement early :P
