Title: Free Paper Trading Terminal for Bitcoin
Post by: leonArdo@margin on June 01, 2015, 09:22:49 AM

We are a small start-up company called Margin Software (marginsoftware.de (http://marginsoftware.de)) and we might have
something you are interested in ;)

Have you ever thought about trading bitcoins or alt coins but were a bit reluctant to start? Or are you a
veteran trader and are just sick of poor web-based front ends with limited features. If you have answered
yes to either of these questions then please check out our free leonArdo paper trading terminal!

The leonArdo demo (http://www.marginsoftware.de/) allows you to simulate real trading on Bitstamp and BTC-e. Add dummy orders
to your local copy of the live order books and even run two in-built automatic trading strategies
to see what it's like to play the bitcoin markets. A local client database keeps track of all your
orders and funds so that you can track your progress over time.Take a look:

We have Windows/OSX/Linux versions available on our website (http://www.marginsoftware.de/). The Windows binary is signed with an EV-Cert
and some of our beta customers who bought our real trading leonArdo product have reported their
experience with us on this bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506317.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506317.0)

Before you scream scam, please have a look at the thread or our website. We'd love to get your feedback to
help us to make the best trading terminal possible in the bitcoin space. Or if you have any questions you can
post here in the thread.

How can you get your copy?
Just go to the website (http://www.marginsoftware.de/) and click through to our Products section.

Release notes for leonArdo Demo - Paper Trading Terminal

1. Please note that the paper trading edition does its own order matching locally. Your orders are 'blended'
into the market. It behaves as if you had really placed the order on the order book yourself. Of course, if your
simulated orders become a significant amount of the order book, the results will differ from real world experience.

2. In some cases recovery from sleep experiences an issue and halts the markets. A restart of leonArdo will
do the trick. Don't worry you won't lose any data as it's saved locally.

3. On start-up leonArdo matches any outstanding limit orders against the trade history to simulate real world
conditions.

Interesting, but new software, that has me put in my API keys. That's scarey. :(

Hi takagari,

First off our software isn't new. We have been selling it for over a year now. Check out this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506317.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506317.0)

Secondly, the demo version of our software is new, but doesn't require you to put in any API keys.

Finally, if not using API keys, how would you expect trading software such as leonArdo connect to your account? Magic?

For the record, we NEVER have access to your full API key info. Using leonArdo you connect directly to the exchanges - not our servers. leonArdo only links to our servers to download the (very useful)
historical data we have. Furthermore, the API keys we get you to set up for leonArdo do not have withdrawal permissions enabled. Therefore even if we had access to them, which we don't,
all we could do is trade on your account  ;)

We are a legitimate company based in Germany. Details can be found on our website: http://www.marginsoftware.de/contact.html (http://www.marginsoftware.de/contact.html)

Thanks for your interest. I hope I have convinced you that your concerns were unfounded.

Jonathan

Want to practice bitcoin and other alt coin trading? Check out leonArdo's free paper trading terminal.

It even has two algo trading strategies you can try out. Plus a ton of really great GUI features built right in and historical data going back a few years.

Currently it let's you trade on btc-e and bitstamp, but more exchanges will follow.

And if you try it and like it then please consider purchasing the real thing!

Details of both versions can be found here: www.marginsoftware.de (http://www.marginsoftware.de)

Hi Stingery64,

We found the issue. But fixing it will take a bit of time. Actually leonArdo was built to only support Win 7 onwards. We didn't think there were any XP users left :)

So in order to try to fix it we have to get our hands on an XP version first.

For now have you considered a switch to a newer version of Windows?

We will get back to you as soon as we can with an update.

Thanks for your interest in leonArdo and sorry for the inconvenience.

All the best,
The leonArdo guys
