Its really cool what you are doing but im not willing to trust someone on the darknet with my funds. You should just provide order matching and multisig escrow on the darknet. I would be more than willing to pay for that service. And the funds used to pay for your service could also double as some assurance that the other party would finish the transaction after the orders had been matched.

just my 0.02BTC

I understand your concerns. Keep in mind plenty of "mainstream" exchanges run off with or lose costumer funds, poloniex, c-cex, mtgox, vircurx and countless others. . We are looking into several options to alleviate concerns of theft. InstantEx is our version of shafeshift, where users can deposit funds and have them instantly exchanged and sent to an address and we are also looking into devolpment of a localbitcoin.com clone. Additionally we have been interested in a OpenTransactions VotingPool feature. http://opentransactions.org/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Voting_Pools that once implemented will allow trustless deposits in participating altcoins.

With the increasing regulatory pressure on clearnet services I think that those that are less than enthusiastic about AML and KYC will find Exchange.I2P a viable alternative. I hope that after a couple months of solid performance and active development you will reconsider trading with us.

For those sending me PM's about accepting a specific coin, or any other subject. There are many of you. I will get back to you after the exchange has officially launched. For extra brownie points send me a message in our irc2p channel #exchange, or send me an i2pbote message.

I2PBote: FXYNSn616ecZ5EyzSR4VtfoOuRgOrVIr9i9nZ5SpE6j3ZPC7vNtMEd5pTj~Xb1NNJbJxi7YW-D1L6X9tmxJI5o904Vv0MoCevHfkgUPp4aGI1A9C9cE6M2H8NEfC6hT3OtM8AwgKFJTXYelfFSaak3ATlxde~LszXpmQCB-rN3hulA

If at all possible don't PM me. I much prefer darknet communication methods. After all that is what this is all about.

if you guys do this just act under the assumption that he is trying to steal your money. if you just do lots of small trades and never keep very much in the way of funds on the exchange at any given time it could still prove to be a useful service even if he were a scammer.

I agree here.
One hast to be very careful - only trading small sums and send the funds back to your wallet again is a good deal.

Reputation and trust comes with time... The longer the exchange is online and the more volume it trades, the more trust will it receive.

I wish this particular exchange all the best, but I doubt it will catch on even among the darknet society of crypto.

had something like this. im a huge fan of i2p, thats why i built a network for $DOGED on it. i checked it out and it looks stable, ill definitely test it once it's ready.

if you guys do this just act under the assumption that he is trying to steal your money. if you just do lots of small trades and never keep very much in the way of funds on the exchange at any given time it could still prove to be a useful service even if he were a scammer.

I agree here.
One hast to be very careful - only trading small sums and send the funds back to your wallet again is a good deal.

Reputation and trust comes with time... The longer the exchange is online and the more volume it trades, the more trust will it receive.

I wish this particular exchange all the best, but I doubt it will catch on even among the darknet society of crypto.

i think you're wrong.. i mean, sure he could disappear, or he could have a great exchange and make money for years to come.. i think its a great idea, and it's about time i2p

had something like this. im a huge fan of i2p, thats why i built a network for $DOGED on it. i checked it out and it looks stable, ill definitely test it once it's ready.

I think you are right about i2p. It does not work out of the box like Anoncoin when you have i2p installed and running, and you need to follow these instructions: http://dogecoindark.net/i2pdarknet.html (which I have not verified).

As for the mining reward, it is less fair than bitcoin, and is steeper than an exponential function.

I understand we may be seeing the anonymous Shadow Tokens (SDT) possibly on there as well. That would be huge as there is no active exchange to swap the tokens at this time. I'll pop in IRC to help as I can.

Trading fiat involves banks and regulations. It would require us to collect information about our users and submit suspicious activity reports to the governmen.t We are simple unwilling to comply with any regulation. We are looking into starting a darknet localbitcoins clone. Users could then buy bitcoin and potentially other altcoins from local dealers in a city nearby.

I understand that fiat/btc trading is important to you but our priority is privacy first, we wont do anything if it degrades the economic freedom and liberty our customers can depend on us for.

Great service and site! I really like the art.

Since lots of people are too stupid to use I2P, would you consider creating a Tor hidden service for your exchange?

Also for awareness you could contact DeepDotWeb or post it on The Hub or /r/DarkNetMarkets.

Fuck that son of a bitch Ben Lawsky and especially AML / KYC, I hope he dies.

you can access it through an outproxy such as i2p.xyz

http://exchanged.i2p.xyz

HOWEVER, it is not reccomended for trading because nobody knows who runs the outproxy and they could perform a man in the middle attack. We are commited to privacy above all else and running a clearnet service without bending over the table for the govt is simpy not possible.

Do you mind adding other cryptocurrencies soon? Will you add Bytecoin BCN (https://bytecoin.org/) or other CryptoNotes (XDN, Dashcoin and so on)? If you need help with implementing them we are always glad to support!

P.S. I love the design. So oldschool. It's very similar to Bytecoin's old website (https://bytecoin.org/old/)  :)

Hi guys.

Would you consider adding NavajoCoin?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=679791.0

Please read the anon feature on this coin.

Cheers!

I second that!

Please add NavajoCoin, thanks.

BTW great project, tweeted about it!  :)

is there any documentation on NavajoCoin's anon feature?

There's a whitepaper here: http://navajocoin.org/pdf/navajocoin.pdf (http://navajocoin.org/pdf/navajocoin.pdf)

AFAIK their source code is still closed, but they want to release it under an open source licence soon.

looks intresting, but we are not willing to run closed source wallets, let us know when the full release is available.

Hi guys. Thanks for developing i2p exchange, it's very valuable idea.

It's very similar to Bytecoin's old website (https://bytecoin.org/old/)  :)

thanks for your support.

we have been having issues getting cryptonote coin wallets to connect to the network anonymously.  if you can solve that, we would love to add more cryptonote coins.

What kind of problems do you have? I'll try to help.

Accordint to the Bytecoin roadmap (https://bytecoin.org/roadmap/) TOR support is scheduled for release in October. We do everything possible to develop it asap.

How about 0% fees or even -1% fees?

To bring volume up and spread the word?

To bring volume up and spread the word?

That is not the problem, the problem is trust.

Possibly a open ledger system with escrow would address that main issue.

Otherwise looks like a great project.

the issue is 2fold,

Trust is a big thing, but its not the main issue, plenty of clearnet exchanges managed to run away with customer funds, and lately cryptsy has implemented capital controls, they are about to pull a gox. ExchangeD.i2p has been endorsed/vouched for by the dev teams of Anoncoin and Dogecoindark

But, IMO the big thing is that marketing has been weak, nobody has heard of Exchanged.I2P and even if they had most traders don't really care enough about privacy to install i2p and trade anonymously.

I'm not bankrolled by some VC Angel guys to where I can pay out negative trading fee's. And really the fee's are not whats holding back trading volume.
---

So here's what I'm working on to get things rolling.

1) Im running a testnet of trade API and a sample trading bot.
2) We are looking for market makers to fill up the orderbooks

As far as trust goes, escrow trading is a high latency thing, that doesn't really work for the type of service we are running, but...

3) I'm coding a localbitcoins clone as the next big feature release. this will allow for multisig transactions so if anyone want to buy/sell Bitcoin for Cryptocurrencies or fiat. They will be able to do that anonymously with minimal risk.

4) We recently got approved to be on the I2Prouter homepage so hopefully that will allow for greater visibility, we are working on some promotional material once that happens.

----

but hey, im alway open to new ideas, if you have any suggestion i would love to hear them. Best place to chat is in our irc channel: irc2p in #exchange
but feel free to sugest them here.

Outside of bitcointalk.org I don't have a clearnet presence so if anyone is interested in helping out with getting the word out let me know.
If your a marketmaker or interested in marketmaking, we are offering 0.0% fee accounts.

FTC already have SX implemented so we can send coins anonymously to darkweb exchange :)

Yes, with all the extra steps needed to use I2P it will be quite hard to gain volume.
I already asked one marketmaker, waiting for response.

Yes, with all the extra steps needed to use I2P it will be quite hard to gain volume.
I already asked one marketmaker, waiting for response.

Awesome. the public API is done , the trade API is currently being on a test server, it will be done this weekend.

I get that its difficult to convince people to go through hoops for privacy, I'm hoping/expecting that most clearnet exchanges will choke themselves to death on regulation and ExchangeD will be the only alternative.

Is there a hangout spot for marketmakers? Its one of those services where there really isnt any marketing or publicity.

Hey entertheabyss, can you please add VNL on your exchange?

It's the first and only currency to achieve zero time transactions and without the use of masternodes.
The code was audited by poloniex and is the only altcoin that is accepted with only one confirmation by that exchange
VNL is not a fork of btc, has a lot of work in developing its code proving the commitment of the dev with the project.
Soon will be released an anonymity system known as dark++

For everyone who you would like to have as smooth trading experience and not have to deal with wallet issues. Trade on ExchangeD.I2P

Instructions can be found by clicking the image below:

Here is a portion of my contact with BTC38. I leave it to you to judge if they are being honest or not. Unfortunately, the history isn't long enough to see the beginning portion. Needless to say, I won't be using their exchange again.

Reading through it now, it is very sophisticated and implementing would be very difficult, and then even if it were it doesnt prevent anything from happening.

There is another approach that I like which is voting pools http://opentransactions.org/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Voting_Pools
Under this system funds are held in a distributed multi-sig accounting system made up of many trusted nodes.

Exit scam worries are important.

But right now i think 2 more important issues must be solved:
speed
stability

I tried to deposit few FTC but exchange freezed few times.
Perhaps this is on I2P side and it will be always slow as...?

Traders like speed, just saying.

hey there are 2 things that you can do to speed it up,

1) adjust i2p bandwith

* go to http://127.0.0.1:7657/config
* increase the upload/download cap, the more the better
* save

2) increase shared client tunnels count.

* go to http://127.0.0.1:7657/configtunnels
* scroll down to where it says "Client tunnels for shared clients"
* change "quantity" for incoming/outgoing to 6
* change "backup quantity" for incoming/outgoing to 3
* scroll to bottom and hit save

-----
With the above 2 changes you should be able to have a much quicker, more stable connection.

note that this api can securely work without I2P using clearnet inproxies ONLY with our end 2 end encrypted API. we dont run these an inproxies but as long you use our keys, which are in the default settings nobody can steal your moneyz. Except that your not anonymous. Every clearnet connection kills a kitten so we dont recommend it

Hey @entertheabyss,

have a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1274789.msg13166074#msg13166074:

Hey all, nupond operator here (i run the liquidity pool on bter).

Who would i need to talk to for getting a liquidity pool on my exchange? Currently we offer NBT/BTC and BTC/NSR trading pairs. We are planning on starting a nubit<->fiat service similar to localbitcoins.com in a few months. we have a fully functional API and would offer a liquidity provider 0.0% trading fee's

So basically the only obstacle to liquidity provision is the wrapper software.  We are currently in kind of an in-between time with our liquidity software because we're about to come out with much more powerful stuff.

That said, liquidity provision is a process (grant support is a positive real, not a boolean).  You should get your exchange listed on our website and make yourself known on the forum.  Tomjoad is the PR rep and can help you get listed im sure.

Hey, so I had a personal emergency recently that ate up a bunch of my time, and as a result I'm behind on coding a little bit. I still plan to release the demo on December 31 but it might be buggier and less functional than I anticipated. Still, I'm really excited about this and I think its a great service to finally have. I hope to have an official release on February 1.

Since the [XMR]Monero developers are working/have worked alongside some of the i2p developers (see Monero developer interviewing I2P developer podcast, http://podbay.fm/show/1032156854/e/1451151298?autostart=1), I think Monero would be an excellent candidate for this privacy-focused altcoin exchange.  As Monero community supporters we believe that the quality of work, cutting-edge cryptography & technologies being built into the Monero project gives it enormous potential to become the leading cryptocurrency based on its key foundations of decentralization, security, fungibility, privacy, untraceability, & scalability.  Monero traders wishing to avoid KYC/AML at Poloniex (where there are several XMR cryptocurrency pair markets already) may enjoy using this exchange instead if it ever decides to add this privacy-based coin to its portfolio.  It's definitely worth considering for the decision-maker(s) involved.  Due to some of the recent controversy/trolling & varying directions/degrees of market sentiment & opinion in the Monero community, I would encourage each person to take the time to perform their due diligence regarding Monero itself before making assumptions or quick assertions based on baseless rumors.  Just my 0.02 XMR :)

I recommend adding BCN.  Please see idea which I helped coax into reality (my page on it at http://abis.io) which I could not have done without the BCN developers and community.  Details at BCN forum, bytecointalk: https://bytecointalk.org/showthread.php?tid=82
SOCKS-proxy for wallet:  On roadmap / in progress, see https://bytecoin.org/roadmap/
Privacy model for BCN:  See https://bytecoin.org/cryptonote/

The exchange is fully functional however we are reaching a RAM bottleneck. We have disabled the NuBits wallet because that was taking up a lot of memory and does not have any deposits and have ordered ram upgrades.

When the RAM arrives we will go down for a few hours for a hardware hardware. I will update here when I know the specific time for the hardware upgrade.

Also we are working on integrating CryptoNote coins, and have made some progress with that, after the hardware upgrades we add bytecoin, monero and magnatoj

If you add BCN before you add XMR your exchange will lose all credibility. Monero could have brought a large community and lots of volume. The only reason your actions make sense is if you work for BCN.
spread your FUD elsewhere and learn to read the past pages to know why monero isnt included.

Where's that clearnet link again. I'm lazy and don't care ATM. Monero on yet? Lots of action right now!

Have you found a way to prove solvency?

AFA Marketing, the only thing holding you back it you could disappear tomorrow with everyone's coins and there is nothing we could do about it.

It's not like it's happened with a known entity. :P

The post with the .i2p 'in' proxy link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1092682.msg12313202#msg12313202 - probably best not to register or login using that link though!

...

Exchanges like this one could prove solvency by using physical bullion, with a signed messages, similar to how eCache operated through Tor (pre-Bitcoin) ...

I have advocated this type of Pseudonymous Proof-of-Valve (combined asset certification / ownership) for building a Proof-of-Value Network using Physical Bullion on top of the CBX Network;

Ofc proof-of-solvency in this regard is not going to prevent an 'anonymous' exchange from 'running' with users coins, but it would perhaps be better than nothing.

...

Whilst I'm here, please consider adding Dnet - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262920.0 - to exchanged.i2p

Cheers!

hey, first of all, ya its not like well known people disappeared our coins   **cough** karpeles **cough** bigvern **cough**
but i could add a page that shows the total balance for cold and hot wallets
that way people could know how much money is available,
people could test it by depositing and withdrawing coins
i would even be willing to release the page source so people could see
however its still possible from a skeptics perspective that i could be lying or writing code that fakes the balance

if people are interested i would be willing to do this
or if there is a better idea

holding bullion like ecash as proof of solvency is a bad idea, for many, many reasons i do not have time at this moment to go into

Still no cryptonote?

All those fake anon coins and premined scamcoins. LOL

Remind me what this exchange is for again? Was it For anonymity?  And still no crytptonote?

I'm really disappointed and this is why I keep an eye on it through a proxy and have no need to run I2P.

And if any Scam Crytonotes are added before XMR (one of the few non scam ones and the obvious leader) you can damn well be sure you will never get any volume.

Hey, good question. We dont atm. I am weary about .onion hosting for a few reasons. Mainly.

1) Operation Ominous and and the high profile demasking of several tor sites.
2) widespread DDOSing and blackmail of Tor Hidden Services.

We might add a hidden service in the future but for now we are operating strictly within the I2P network.
If we do add a .onion service, i will write a post in this thread and let everyone know.

People should check out the exchange as it is truly anonymous.

Being on I2P network, cryptos such as BTA also have wallets available via anon git on I2P. The wallets can be connected to I2P nodes bypassing the clearnet, allowing your transaction the privacy and security you deserve and should demand from cryptocurrencies.

you'd be surprised but the I2P people which you refer to "darknet" can be trusted more than people on clearnet...

Hi, thanks for your work on the project, I understand these things take time, and when you are able to get BCN included that would be great.  I recall from a prior post (Jan. 24, 2016) that you said,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1092682.msg13658671#msg13658671

"The exchange is fully functional however we are reaching a RAM bottleneck. We have disabled the NuBits wallet because that was taking up a lot of memory and does not have any deposits and have ordered ram upgrades.

So anyway, I know you are working on these things, and thank you for that, so I look forward to BCN being included when you can.

Respectfully,

ABISprotocol (primary concept author / visionary for http://abis.io which is now incorporated into BCN)

because you connect trough a I2P tunnel, you need to use the tcp proxy built into the i2p client. this client, of course, runs on localhost.

great news,

I am curious since there has been discussion to add BCN since January of 2016, when will BCN be added?

In February 2016 it was said here that BCN would be added "soon," and I figured it would take a bit because at the time there were RAM issues and such.   However those have since been resolved and there is now Anoncoin, Zcash, Verge, Peercoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, ShadowCash, Dash, BATA, Feathercoin, NuShares, and Bitcoin being traded on exchanged.i2p.  (I submit that Dash should be removed for the following reasons -- http://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/innovation/dash-adds-full-support-for-amlkyc-compliance-via-coinfirm/ )

Please advise when BCN will be added.

Are there any cryptonote coins yet??? BCN is the original Cryptonote scam coin if you list that as the first crytonote then you can be assured your exchange will be tagged as scam. Think on that.

The shade change made the red readable. I couldn't post this on the forum because I forgot my passphrase. Lol
I'll scrounge it up when I'm ready to try the exchange again.
