yeah, i've used their wallet before but this was just a short stop before I moved my coins to be cashed out but then their webpage gave me an error while I was waiting for my coins to be validated...

AARRGH this is alot of money to be lost!

dont consider it lost right now... i've read through their thread and it seems not too bad. biggest problem seems to be that the owner did not communicate for some weeks.

I manage my own coins with bitcoin-qt. Not sure where this correlates with your topic OP. :P

Putting your money on someone else wallet is a fail idea. Bitcoin let you manage YOUR coins, why do you give them to someone else? Because you are used to keep your money in a "bank"?

I've never used TorWallet, but I agree, you should manage your BTC yourself.

I recommend using Blockchain.info's wallet or a wallet on GOX directly. For small amounts, and 'novice / newbie' users, it is WAY easier than downloading and configuring the client and blockchain.

I recommend having your bitcoins on your own wallet. The mistake of having them on someone else's wallet already costed me 2500 BTC. Learn from my mistakes, it's cheaper lol

If you have some small amount of bitcoins, such as 200, and you need to put them someplace before moving them, it is good to put them on site like MT. GOX where you can remove them when you are ready.  Otherwise, is best to control yourself.

mtgox is very fast when it comes to withdraw limits through aml.
afaik its enough if you share an ip address with somebody else...

i'd still recommend blockchain.info
