Welcome and glad you love this place  :D The thing is there is no posts on your thread so where have you got you are labled a scumbag scammer? If people thought that then you would have a lovley red tag next to your name and you don't have one of them either. You are jumping to conclusions and guess what that "shady place"  ;D was where your thread belongs, that is why a mod moved it there. Be happy.

What are you complaining about? I dont see where you had trouble at all when i read your posts. So i dont know what you mean with you being accused of being a scammer.

When you offered to sell something without escrow, ok, that is correct. Scammers do this all the time, creating new accounts and try to scam someone. But then you need to adapt.

When you really are here as long as you say then i would guess you could deal with things like that.

clearly he is talking about another account of him that got negative trust because of some trade or currency exchange topic he made.

Dunno why OP made a new account to complain

That is clear to you is it? That is funny because it is clear to me that he is talking about the account he is using, why would I come to that conclusion you may ask, well that would be because he created that account a month ago. So he never made a new account to complain. The thread he is whinging about is in his recent posts.

Great!  Welcome!  We're glad to have you join us.

just because i'm new here i'm by default labeled a scumbag scammer.

What?  Who labeled you a "scammer"?  I don't see anything about you in Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0), and I don't see any negative feedback at all on your trust page (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=515503).  Why do you think you've been "labeled a scumbag scammer"?

i made a topic in currency exchange and it got moved to one of the shadiest places i have ever seen (moved to digital goods).

So, you created a new thread in the "Currency Exchange" sub-forum.  In your thread you offered to exchange bitcoins for $25 visa giftcards (vanillavisa.com).  One of the moderators of the "Currency Exchange" sub-forum felt that your request was more of a "digital good" (a gift card number) than a "currency" (U.S. dollars, Euros, etc), and therefore moved the thread to the "Digital Goods" sub-forum.  And you are not happy about it?

the one damn time i needed help this happens.

What sort of help do you need?  If you're looking to exchange a digital good, then list your offer in the digital goods sub-forum so people that want the digital good can find you.  If you're looking to exchange actual currency, then list your offer in the currency exchange sub-forum so people that want the currency can find you.

for a month i tried to help others (most ignored me).

Thanks for helping out.  It's much appreciated.  How do you know they ignored you?  Perhaps they were very happy that you helped them out.

never asked for a damn thing.

Not sure what this has to do with anything, but feel free to ask for help whenever you need it.

my offer was pretty good as well.

Yes, a 20% markup is VERY good for the person supplying the bitcoins as long as there are no issues with any of the gift cards.

news flash bitcointalk veterans: i have been online since 1996.

Ok.  Why should we care?  I know people that have been online since the 1980's  I also know people that just got online for the first time this year.  What does that have to do with the conversation at hand?

not every new person here is a scammer kid living in their parents basement.

You are correct. Some of them are scammer adults living in their parent's house. Some of them are scammer kids living in someone else's house. Some of them are scammer adults living in their own house.  Some of them are police or other law enforcement authorities. a few are honest trustworthy people (both kids and adults).  How would anyone know for certain which one you are?  Why should they take a risk until their is some evidence of your nature?

i even said escrow since i'm new here.

Wonderful.  Escrow can't protect everyone in every situation, but it can help in many situations.

you want people buying and using bitcoin, yeah?

Not particularly.  Those that want it will buy it.  Those that have it, and don't want it, will sell it. It's a pretty simple process.  Beyond that it doesn't much matter to me whether any particular individual buys or sells bitcoins.

well, being labeled a thief by default does not help your cause.
/rant

Who labeled you a thief?  Why do you care what some random unknown person on the internet might have said?  On the internet (and generally anywhere else in life) is usually safer not to place too much trust in anyone until they have provided some evidence that they can be trusted.

thank you. minus the whinging part.

i said i would do escrow, by the way. that's to goosoodude

to the rest, what am i complaining about? have you... have you people seen the digital goods section? holy hell is all i will say. i feel i should get jail time for just browsing that section. so yeah, when my topic gets moved there what do you think others will think of my offer? of course, i also get accused of having multi accounts. what else do you got? let's just all assume everyone is a scammer and let's see where that takes us.

You've only been a member for a month, have 7 posts and no negative trust I don't see what you've got to rant about?

EDIT: You sound like my wife, she's always moaning about something ;D.

We are all in this together mate, I see where you are coming from with the digital goods section being pretty bad but that is where you are looking for business so you will have to put up with it or ignore it and don't venture to the dark side of the forum.

Glad you have finally joined us we are not all bad news and I for one respect anyone that is willing to take time from their life to help others as I'm sure others are. If you ever need help here just create a thread and you will be helped with most things, Thanks and hopefully see you sticking around,

Most people on here are alright, I was only pulling your leg ( joking ) with my last post :).

Please don't take it to heart if nobody replies to a post or doesn't comment on something you say, its just forum life I'm afraid.

Anyway you're very welcome here my friend :).

Not being mean but if you've been online that long, you should know that there doesn't exist a single place on the internet that is completely troll-free. If you're an honest guy not trying to scam anyone then just go about doing what you do and don't pay attention to the haters/trolls. You don't need to defend yourself against accusations if you've done nothing wrong.

EDIT - BTW welcome to the forum!  ;)

Welcome to the community on one side, and on the other, would like to say that if you ever tried to go and ask for things which look suspicious if being asked by a newbie, there are people to mark you red for some causes...

I don't know the exact reasons behind them doing that, but who knows what's the truth...

Everyone here have their own rules and own privileges...

People wont think anything about your offer, they'll know that the post belongs to digital goods not to currency exchange. Everyone gets accused of having multiple accounts. I dont know if you are trolling but Danny made a nice summary of your situation there.

EDIT: You sound like my wife, she's always moaning about something ;D.

lol women always need something to moan about.

@OP wouldn't worry about it mate, there have been so many scams and btc thefts over the years people tend to be a tad cynical of new members, especially when it come to exchanging bitcoin for other currencies. Not sure why your thread was moved but I'm sure there's a logical explanation, the mods here are pretty reasonable.

This forum is a place where everyone is considered a scammer so there's no surprise in that. Newbies are mainly targetted as most open alt accounts to just scam and then abandon their account. Even when I joined this forum, I was accused and even now I'm being accused  after having completed many trades. :D

If you're willing to use escrow, you need to worry about those who accused you.  :)

just don't ask for loan without collateral, when you are a newbie, because there were plenty of users in the past(today much less, tnx to vod) that were scamming tih loan and new account

anyway you sound like another of your account(maybe your main) was murdered to death by some experienced forum members...
