Over the past 24 hours, the blockchain has been inundated with small, spam-like transactions that are large in data size, but significantly small in bitcoin value transferred. Sent each transaction with a 'Priority' fee (which was still next to nothing in monetary terms) and all were confirmed within minutes. Sent several transactions to gambling sites with a slightly higher than average fee, got my payments confirmed in minutes. Post by: randy8777 on July 08, 2015, 12:05:55 AM as long as people add at least 0.0001btc as fee people won't have to deal with waiting hours. if i want my tx to get included in the next block i add 0.0005btc as fee. that gets the job done.

Now however, I'm not so sure, I think now that Bitcoin is acting so stable in the middle of a crisis somebody is going to want to take it down.

It's a significant increase compared to a month ago, but i'm sure they'll fix it somehow and soon. A year ago the same thing used to take 10 min! Pay the fee and you won't have any problems. But I have never waited longer than 10 to 15 minutes.

Just made a transaction, paid 0.001 fee and it was included in the next block, also received a transaction that was included in the next block with a 0.0003 fee, I guess I've overpaid. :D |
