Title: Definition of Bitcoin ?
Post by: ammy009 on July 08, 2015, 04:50:53 PM
What is Democracy ?

Abraham Lincoln quotes : “Democracy is the government of the people, by the people, for the people”

What is Bitcoin ?

And, now we say : “Bitcoin is the currency of the people, by the people, for the people”

I'm pretty sure that the initial democracies have functioned much better than what we have now. However, they have failed us over the years and voting doesn't change that much.
The problem is that money is tied to banks and politics, which easily leads to corruption.

Bitcoin is supposed to give (at least some) power to the people, power that they deserve.

Great definition, but I would like to add my own: A trust-free cash system and a decentralized peer-to-peer cryptocurrency developed to provide people to use their money in their full control.

I really like the definition to be honest ;D sames goes for democracy definition however there is no such a thing today on the world , there is no democratic country on the world even if there is , it's just a name and there is limits shouldn't be crossed .
And same will happen to Bitcoin , it won't be same definition after some years because now and as we can see banks creates copies of bitcoin ..which means hasta la visa for "Decentralisation" , fees already screwed by debit cards , privacy screwed with exchange that asks for IRL informations .

Yes it is the virtual currency and now we can also call it as a democratic currency as no one has controlled over it not even the government and that makes it a really special one. And it is more popular as the privacy factor is attached to it that makes it really attractive.
