Post by: kevingrnsee on July 10, 2015, 02:09:02 PM
Hello everyone, I am brand new to Bitcoin and I am in love with it already. I want to start mining, buying, and selling Bitcoin on this site and in my local area. I currently have an indie go go for my that I wish to start, if you are interested you can check it out at https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraisers/bitcoin-mine/dashboard#/manage.
If anyone would like to help me out with my Bitcoin dreams it would mean the world to me.
If you are interested in supporting me you can go to that website or you can donate any amount of satoshis to my bread wallet:

Hi and welcome fellow peer!

A few things that might help you to start out. First the sad news.  :(

The mining game is now moving to an industrial level. It will require a huge capitol input to make a real go of it. The image below is a modern BTC mine. As you can see, it's not a gaming computer in your spare closet anymore. You are going to need a lot of money.

http://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/ASIC-Mining-640x353.jpg

The good news is that this is still a new project and the future continues to look bright. If you want to get into bitcoin then I highly recommend two things. One is that you set up an account at an exchange and buy some bitcoin then spend it online. That may help to see what all the commotion is about and why bitcoin is the fastest, safest, and cheapest way to move money.  Don't screw around with faucets or schemes to increase your bitcoin. At best you will work long hours to literately make pennies, and almost all the deals here are scams. Just buy some and move on.

Next you should read the white paper by Satoshi Nakamoto.  This paper is what all this is about. The white paper is the straight dope. You can see a link to it in my sig, just below this post. Cheers.

well good, you have the chance to not even start which is what you should do.
Run away fast and don't look back. Bitcoin is experiment .01 and it's in the deaththroes already.
Already centralized as the picture above shows. You have no chance to mine it and you might as well just user your cash vs buying it. Why? Because you will lose money vs paying in cash, no fees, no up and down market jitters.
Plus by supporting bitcoin you are helping support the new world orders vision of one govt one currency to track them all.

I'm not begging for money here, I'm asking for the community's help in getting me started. I currently have $1.73 in my wallet and it's kind of tough to sell it in that amount.

First, the link in your original post was wrong. It should be https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraisers/bitcoin-mine instead of https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraisers/bitcoin-mine/dashboard#/manage which will take others to the login page. Anyway, it seem like no one donated you money. If I'm not wrong, there is a crowdfunding site created for Bitcoiner. If you're looking to get some quick Bitcoin, faucet would be one of the best choice. Try WeekendBitcoin or BitcoinAliens to get some Satoshi for free. Additionally, you can join my site (http://bitrevenues.com/) for a chance to win 0.015 BTC by claiming a ticket for lottery every one hour. It's a free and fair game.

and op, wanna mine bitcoin? i guess you will risk for electricity wastage. rather, get to legit cloud mining sites to mine like www.hashnest.com (http://www.hashnest.com) so you won't need to put your machine at home and affect others because of the noise.
i am now paying you .001 bitcoin to your wallet, keep going for the librety !

i want to help you and give you some coins to start with your "mining" dream. however, it will only result in more newbies begging for help in the future as they see someone getting helped and getting free coins.

Asking people to support/fund/donate to you is not really allowed.  I suggest changing the post.  If it was an investment or something would be different.  But it appears to be begging but I could be wrong.

I wish you the best of luck but you will need to fund it yourself.  Bitcoin is not free :)

well thats true, the best way i think is the signature campaign, but he is a newbie yet so he will need to w8 untill he get a decent rank here to join on those campaigns.

i will never recommend faucets, are good to start toi earn some free satoshis, but after some weeks/months your brain will vomit captchas everywhere :P

btw, welcome to this community and this world @kevingrnsee, also even if i understand you, that begging style that you are using from the beginning is not a good way to start ;)

Hello welcome to this forum :)

The links will help you out for start mining:
- https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison
- The current coins difficult: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency
With the bitcoin diff recently, is so hard to get profit from mining bitcoin, you need a lot hash. My advice is mining altcoin, but becareful altcoin is easy to dump and pump.

You can trade a bitcoin in this forum or use http://localbitcoin.com/ and trade to people in your local area.

Welcome aboard soldier!

The mining game is fun. To be successful in mining you need cheap electric. Anything that is $0.08/KWh will put you in the green. Just starting out? I would suggest you get 2 Antminer S3/S3+ as these you can get a bit over $100 each, and 1 power supply with 4 PCI-e pins on a single 12V rail.

yes, for mining scrypt better to look at something called terminator, or you can simply build your six gpu rig and try to mine any new altcoin

something soft like 6 x 750ti will cut it

Welcome to the forum! :) Mining really is fun but if you're looking to profit from it, you should definitely research extensively before investing. It's not so easy to make it work with the smaller miners and you have to take into account power costs in your area. Also it's always best not to rely on people's generosity if you wanna realize your dreams. Keep active on here and join a signature campaign as soon as you can and start earning some coin  ;) Have fun and good luck!

Hello,

You can make some bitcoin registering on signatures campaigns.
You will need to post and be more active on the forum.
You will learn a lot from here.

a setup like that gets close to ~1000 dollars, might be better to buy a scrypt asic at that point.

maybe, but the big difference is that with gpu you're not limited to one algo, and you can mine any coin out there, plus gpu can always be resold easily

If your going to do this you may need to keep up wit the altcoins being launch with gpu algos like x11 or x13 trying to solo mine the first blocks and get a good pay out from that.
