Is the prize 1,000,000 bits or 100,000 ? thats a total of 1,000,000 bits I think. Please also add leaderboard on the site for the tournament day so people will know who the current winner is. Please also use a proper image there, perhaps you can use your own image because the current one is logged in as Dan and not showing the 999 payout

that site still has problem to open in firefox when i tried to open this it went unresponsive suddenly for a long time, after 2 minutes of waiting i am able to access into my account so try resolve this issue with firefox.

everything is working just fine for me and i dont have any problems launching it with my browser, the design is also pretty cool, i am waiting for any updates if there will be

How we can know about real time wagered status because there is no board for this contest, i think it will be hard to know about this who is leading at the moment?

The most possible way to know the leader board is by checking all participant's stats manually one by one on moneypot unless plinkopot has a system to count it automatically and share the leader board frequently in this thread or in chat.

This isnt possible for several reason :

#1. You have no data about how many people that actually wager in the site because you couldnt monitor the site for 24/7

#2. Even if you know all user that wager during the tournament, you will need to note down their starting wager amount and deduct it later for 
     The final wagered amount ( some account should have wagered few bits on the site so the starting wager count will not be zero )

tl;dr : a simple script to count the total wager is the answer for this. Although rmcdermot might have got this already

Currently the API does not allow for user stat searches based upon time and date.   I have asked Rhavar to provide me with database snapshots.   I will update here every time i get a snapshot.  It will likely be every 24 hours but more frequent towards the end of the contest.

From who?  Can I see the math on that?

Look, I'm not going to argue with you, because obviously you won't listen to me.  

A) Moneypot.com(one of the most trusted gamblings API's) processes the bets for the site.   So I literally could not have manipulated your bet even if I wanted to.

B) If you took 3 seconds to actually look at a single one of your bets, you would see clearly listed the probability of each outcome.  Lets take this "rigged" bet for example:
https://www.moneypot.com/bets/58652492 - You will see that your ball landed in one of the 3 most probable spots(the center 3).   It looks like you are playing on the jackpot board.  There is exactly a 1.02% house edge on that particular board.

C) Please have facts when calling a site a "scam site".   "I lost x times in a row so it must be a scam" is not a fact.

D) I get paid EXACTLY the same amount of BTC if your bet is a win or a loss.  There is absolutely zero incentive for me to cheat, and in fact it's better for me if you win.

Wrong, provably fair is there to make manipulation much easier to be noticed if the house decided to do so ( thats literally different meaning ). It cant prevent manipulation because manipulation can still be done if no one notice it , like what 999dice did or skipping nonces ( which is quite hard to detect unless someone knows how provably fair work )

Well but you did ! Anyway the house edge is recorded in Moneypot and there is no way the house could fake the edge. If the house edge is truly huge as what have been claimed then you would see such number in moneypot's BET ID as well but the fact is that the house edge is low industry standard and varies depending on your chosen board (my jackpot x999 board is 1.02 % edge btw )

To be honest, Im not here to argue with you :). Quoted your post just because some things needs to be cleared off. Im merely providing information about facts to what have been claimed in the previous posts because if those posts were to be seen by the trolls then you can expect there will be alot of fuss in the upcoming hours.
Besides such claims will only serves as a bad publicity for the site, therefore Im providing things to make it clearer so people wont ask the same question over and over again ( or keep on going to say the house edge is huge etc etc )

Yes actually, a few improvements.  The game is off chain, so you can bet quicker and even make many bets all at the same time.   We are going to make quite a few improvements in a patch within the next month.  I'll update here with what they are once we commit to them.

No, actually it does not.  Thank you for discrediting yourself.   Assuming a Binary, equally probable option, it means you win 49.5% of the time.   Considering this is NOT a binary option,  The odds for the puck falling in the center are 19.6380615234375%, next to that 17.4560546875%, 12.21923828125%, 6.6650390625%, 2.777099609375%, 0.8544921875%, 0.18310546875%, 0.0244140625%, and 0.00152587890625% respectively.

House edge can then be calculated by giving a payout option a weight based on payout amount and probability.

Actually, not quite. The best way to think of house edge is the average amount of MONEY (not bets) you'll lose, over a very big number of bets.

For better illustration, take a fair coin-toss. If you win, you'll double your money. If you lose, you'll lose it all. This has a house edge of 0%, yet you'll still lose 50% of the time. Or lets imagine a fair (normal) 6-sided dice. If you win, you get 6x your money, yet you'll still lose 83.33% of the time.

Or lets lets take a state lottery with a 20% house edge. You're not going to win the million-dollar jackpot 80% of the time.

I hope this makes it clear that there's no implied relationship between house edge and win probability. Also, I verified some of the bet payouts and they do indeed have the advertised house edge.

No problem.  Confusion happens.  In the future, to decrease huge variances, you can play on green or yellow. 

Yep, the variance for red is high. If you want to win more times than losing though with a lower payout, it is green that you seek.  8)

If you don't like the default one, pick one of the other options, or create one yourself. While creating one make sure the house edge is as low as possible. ;D (0.9% edge I think)
I think the game allows any paylines with any edge greater than 0.9.

This looks a lot like luckyb.it, but off chain, so the effective house edge is going to be lower because no tx fees need to be paid for each bet.

AFAIK, it varies. However edge is lower even if the fee is ignored. 0.9%. But I think you can also play a 99% edge game if you like. ;)

The max bet is dependent on the moneypot bankroll at the time of the bet.  

If you click "Payout Editor" on their site, it shows the estimated max bets (~1.4 BTC on green, 0.13 on yellow, 0.003 on red). Actually though, these are very conservative estimates (they seem to be based on the simplified kelly, not the generalized kelly that MP uses) especially in the red case but bets of those size should go through no problems.


I'll try put together a blog post with some code on the full generalized kelly (multi-outcome, like plinko) as it's pretty hard to come across any good information about it and for things like the max-payout it gets pretty interesting

The payout is not "very small". It is good enough for most of the players at least. But you certainly can't win 100BTC there in a single bet. But a few Bitcoins is certainly convered by the bankroll. :)

You need a Moneypot account to play, and so you deposit to Moneypot. The funds are held by Moneypot, so you only have to trust them.
However, from Moneypot, a player is to transfer a part of the balance to the app to play, and the app (plinkopot, here) will have control over that funds as long as it remains there. But the risk is still very low.

I think most people don't really care about hide and seek games.  People in the gambling section want to gamble.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing that you're trying to give away money, you just seemed confused as to why people weren't participating.  I participated (and won!) in the most wagered contest because it was a fun gamble that could have generated a little extra equity.  I read over this promo and didn't give it a second thought because it's not that fun/interesting to me and seems like it would be quite time consuming.  I would imagine that most of the people you are looking to attract with these promos have a similar mentality.

I understand.   I will be doing a most wagered contest again sometime next week.   Probably a little shorter duration than the last one. 

If you are open to suggestions: how about a tiered rewards system?  Wager XBTC, get a bonus of YBTC.  That way everyone is encouraged to play as much as possible to maximize their bonus and you don't have incentive to not play.

I'm very open to suggestions.   Especially good ones.   Good idea.  We will do it in that format.

Isn't this the same bonus system as fortunejack or casinoroyale, not sure between the two though. I think something more unique would be better.

Also, in your example you said 10BTC wagered = 300,000 bits.  That's 20,000 bits extra for every 1BTC wagered. 

Thanks for pointing out the typo, corrected.  And normally I wouldn't have a problem with that, however there are some people that have already played and would rather not change the rules after the contest start.   I will keep it in mind for the next one though.

Yeah see at this point, it's not worth it for me (or anyone else) to go up and try to eclipse mikmic because he can easily get to the 40BTC point first and then it becomes a matter of do we both want to lose money to spite each other.  My suggestion was to have tiered levels so that if I got to, say, 5BTC wagered I'd get a bigger bonus, and then a larger one at 10BTC, 20BTC, ect ect, so that even though I didn't have a shot at the overall win, I'd still find value in playing more.

Why dont you make wager contest every week? your site only has activity when there is wager contest and I think you should do this if you want some activity there

House edge is as low as .9%.  The bet size varies based on the moneypot bankroll and board you are playing on.   MP follows the kelly criterion when accepting bets.

Because it is expensive? IIRC, the commission for app owner is roughly half of the house edge. So if he has spent 0.1 btc on a contest, he has to get a wagered of about 20 btc just to break even.

Nothing new, still stay the same. I'm still waiting for the new plinkopot (v2) but no update from OP about it..

I'd say the update is about 75% done.   We are still doing closed tests, and improving.  The artwork is basically complete.   The final step is just the simple "bells and whistles" that will bring the game to the next level. 

Our house edge is quite a bit lower.   Ours is around .9%

Perhaps they will do it when they launch plinkopot V2, just lets see and wait. Basically they have a nice site but only few active players..and yeah I agree with you that promo or contest will bring more players but it is their own decision to do it or not :)

They already do campaign to attract people but without any active player they can't even attract more people to play in their site. Anyway most wagered or profit is not suitable for this kind of game. Better to make someone who hit the max multiplier it is better or even higher than their admin hitting if their admin even play there ;D

We will have some contests and promotions when the new site is launched for sure.   I hope to be able to send an invite to the beta testers within a weeks time to try the new site.   It is fairly close to completion.  There are a few things being finished but we are certainly close.   I am very pleased with the way things are coming so far.

Yeah, its meanth to be a rewards system, not a $2 a minute faucet.   I was giving out .005-.01 on the first day for people coming down and trying it out.    Now, people placing bets will get a nice percentage of their bets back due to the lotto system.   Its also weighted, so if someone bets 90,000 bits and another bets 10,000 they will get 90% and 10% of the rewards payout respectively.

I will likely also change the timing of it all as well.  I am thinking about a 50% chance every 15 minutes so I can bump the reward amount up a bit.

For me, the plinko board takes half of the screen and the bet box and chat lotto takes the other half. The former is a bit smaller to my liking.

How about making it 75:25? Bigger plinko board, and width of the boxes reduced by half?

So heres a bit of an explanation of all of the recent changes made to our system.

• Partial private bankroll:   We use the Kelly Criterion to determine whether our bankroll can handle a bet.   If we can, we process the bet using a virtually identical provably fair system to Moneypot's.   Bets from us can be verified in the same way.   In your list of bets, if a bet from us has a -L next to it, it was processed by plinkopot.com.
• Moneypot bankroll:  In the event that the house bankroll can not handle a bet, it is pushed to moneypot and processed by their much larger bankroll.  If your bet has a -MP next to it, moneypot.com handled that bet.
• Social Design: Everyone seees every bet that is played.   It will harbor a community aspect and make plinkopot.com more fun than ever before.
• Chat Rewards: For users that are actively playing and actively chatting, there will be a great rewards system.   If you have wagered over 2000 bits and chatted in the last 10 minutes, there is a 75% of getting a reward.    Rewards are weighted.    If 2 users meet the criteria for a reward, their reward will be proportional to the amount each has wagered.   In other words, if User 1 bets 10k bits and User 2 bets 90k bits, User 1 will get 10% of the total reward and User 2 will get 90%
• New Design: Plinkopot.com looks great!   The graphics are greatly improved with V2.

Awesome change to the chat bot! I like the proportional setup, rather than being random. But how does it determine the total payout?

It's a random amount between the minimum I set and the maximum I set.   I'm playing around with it to find a nice equilibrium between rewarding players and costing me money, lol.

I was thinking a good idea would be... if you can calculate your profit somehow, take x% of the profit as min/max so you can never LOSE money as a result.

Yeah, that was the initial plan, but there are some times I actually want to lose much such as special promotions, etc.  Also, the math gets a bit more complicated because we are not using strictly the MP bankroll anymore.   We hold our own bankroll as well, and if a bet does not meet Kelly by our bankroll standards, it is then pushed to MP.

That means your chat reward will not be random like usual site? But for a big whale it is good but how about for usual people? They doesnt have a chance to get the reward from chat lotto?

I don't think a 2000 bits minimum wagered requirement quite means someone needs to be a whale.   Thats the equivalent of $1 USD

No, its proportional, everyone gets the reward, but they get a percentage of it proportional to what they wagered.

Im just wondering why do you make the same mistake over and over again. Wagering has nothing to do with bankroll. If you have a bigger bankroll then you could win easily however that doesnt mean you will win the competition as a smaller bankroll has the same chance to win as well but it will require you to play alot more often rather than just few times like what the bigger bankroll did

The same chance, of course not. Bigger bankroll has more chance to win even in the last minutes of the contest, lower bankroll players wont be attracted to join this join the contest because of it. Lets say you do wager small amount 24/7 and you wager 10btc in total xx minutes before the contest end. Then there is come big bankroll players who wager 10.1btc in 10bets or even 1bet in the last minutes.
So bigger bankroll players has more chance to win wagering contest.

They take the same risk, though. Those with the bigger bankroll are risking more money, with the same chance of winning/busting out as the lower bankrolls. I don't see why this is an issue.

You are so right. Because it all depends on the owner of the site. If he wants to make the game the winner is the owner of 90% of the site then it can be done easily. But it all can be defeated by using strategies that are very truly special. Because the code created in the gambling is extremely vulnerable to a strategy that is very special. So if you want to win should have an excellent strategy and also have to be patient

The owner cant do that because he is using moneypot. No owner can cheat at his own site if they are using moneypot so you can be sure that this competition is legit and honest. Site that use moneypot has their own advantages which is trust but of course there are some disadvantages as well

That is a client side app that essentially runs solely on the users browser and communicated directly with the moneypot API.    There was NO security breach at plinkopot for the record.   It is still undetermined what actually happened, but I have spoken several times with moneypot staff, and they are looking into it to make sure the bets placed were legitimate.  They will update on the situation later in the day.

Why both application not sharing the same balance which i had on plinkopot but on old version it doesn't show anything into my account balance, can you make configure this issue and make sharing sharing the same balance on both version?

I think it will be hard to be implemented since both are two different apps, but it would be nice if they can do it.

I think all they would need to do is change "config.app_id = 864;" in classic's app.js to use the same app_id as the other site, and add the classic URL to the list of allowed URLs for the main app.

I just noticed that classic's app.js (https://classic.plinkopot.com/app.js) is the same 115k of javascript repeated twice, making it twice as long as it needs to be. Is that an oversight?

Having everything in there twice means the app can process things 2x as fast :D You know, like a poor man's multi-threading...if one function is busy handling something, just hand it off to its twin.

No, Classic used oauth implicit flow and V2 uses confidential flow.   Otherwise I would have done that already as I would REALLY like them to be in the same place.     And as far as it being repeated twice, it shouldn't be.   I am looking at app.js on my server now and nothing is repeated.  Would you mind PMing me a screenshot?

I see it all doubled as well. I just took a random line (// Preload audio) and ctrl+f'd it. You'll see it about halfway down the document and at the very top, both followed by the same code.

A couple of days ago the file was twice the size that it is now.

I made a local copy of the site using wget. The app.js file is 230548 bytes, with a timestamp of Jan  7 00:01
I just made another copy now using the exact same command. The app.js file is 115274 bytes, with a timestamp of Feb  7 06:49

Edit: I see the date on your post above as "Today at 06:46:14 AM" - so whatever you did 3 minutes after posting that fixed it.

I ran the command at Feb  7 07:18, so I guess you last modified the app.js file about half an hour before I re-downloaded the file.

Unfortunately it's not possible to change it much more than it is except for special promotions and such.   For example, on a bet of 500, I make on average less than 3 bits.  So at that point I would be giving away exponentially more than I would be getting back.   If I'm online though and see a bunch of people playing, I have a tendency to raise the max lotto a bit.

Things are not working out for him it seems and even after the version 2 , there is still always few people playing on the site. The recent huge winner has affect nothing to the site but only to the bankroll . Few days after the huge winner, it seems there is burst of activity however few days later everything turning to once it was again

I just got a new job, and once I start I will be working almost 70 hours a week away from the PC.   Activity did increase by a bit after the big win.
