Title: Recent changes 5000 change limitation
Post by: Luke-Jr on August 14, 2015, 04:44:02 AM
Any way to overcome the wiki's 5000 change limit for RecentChanges? I've fallen behind... :(

Unfortunately the 5000 revision limit is hardcoded into MediaWiki for safety purposes. The default is 500, but your account's API limits are already as high as possible.

It might be changeable by modifying the software, but that's probably a bad/risky idea. Alternatively you could import a memory dump ~5000 revisions behind and poll that on a local MediaWiki instance.

Your bot that does auto reverses don't help with that ...
