Title: Something i notice with bitmains firmware Post by: toptek on August 27, 2015, 12:01:25 PM Bitmains firmware might be changing the voltage to some thing like this 7060 and its locked . one reason i use a custom firmware is i can adjust it . i changed it back to 0725 after i did a update i really want to use bitmains firmware but it lowers my miner th to low i just tired again . but this time it went down to 900 again with the july 15 update and set the voltage at 7060 or some like that i did do a default firmware update with there firmware but once i change the voltage back to 0725 after i went back to smithy firmware i was using my miner started working right .
Has anyone else used one of smithy custom firmware notice that bitmains firmware changes it, we have no control over it with there firmware . i wonder if that's the whole or part of the problem it's being changed in there firmware to the wrong setting . cya Title: Re: Something i notice with bitmains firmware Post by: bmoscato on August 27, 2015, 11:05:53 PM What device are you talking about?

S5 now i can't reproduce it . :( . but all my miner are running great but one but i had problems with it from day one and I bought it used not from bitmain which was my mistake. Cannot see how the firmware could vary the voltage in an S5? The Core Voltage on each chip is only set by the applied voltage (12V) and the number of chips in the chain (15). So 15 Chips & 12 V = 0.8V Rich |
