The email addresses used for signup on this forum have leaked and many of them have received the following scam email:

Not only emails but hashed password were compromised too.When this happened the forum was down for 2 days.

Yup. Though I got this email just the day before yesterday.

hey even i also received one email stating they are going to start a new site for promotional they are offering 0.02 btc for the new registration. i went and registered it but my good luck is i did not gave them this account details,

their i gave all new account details which is not related to this , like this i was saved from this scam.

There are at least two of the red flags in that email:

1. WE HAVE FOUND THE HIDDEN GEM

2. ... ultimate opportunity to get 150% return for the first time in history

Maybe there are even more of them, but the two mentioned above would be enough for me.)

Not only emails but hashed password were compromised too.When this happened the forum was down for 2 days.
When did it happen?Do we need to change our password ? How come there's no official word on it or did I miss it ????

Its always better to change password and use different passwords across services.

You are right. I do keep changing my passwords periodically and never use the same password for different services but here it is different if we change password it is displayed in your trust link that password has been changed recently.Forum members do not prefer to deal with such members who have changed their password
