Title: [WTS] KNC Titan Scrypt Miner. ** no bad dies** **$400 price drop***
Post by: wheelz1200 on September 18, 2015, 03:21:08 AM
Just as the subject says.  Selling a knc titan to include 4 cubes, controller, all 4 y cables and a 1500watt cooler master silent pro m2 psu.  This miner works great.  No bad dies and has neverbeen pushed to the limit.  Always ran indoors in a cool environment.Getting out of the mining game as im starting another project to focus on.  Will sell for $3,800 in btc.  Im shipping from the US and would like to ship to US only.  Buyer pays shipping.  Can post pics if needed.  I have a great track history here on bct with nothing but possitive feedback.

Edit: $3,400

I'm ready to bet that you will mark down the price soon.  ;)

There are still presents an offers to buy 256 Mh/s miners for about 1000 USD without shipping.

You might be right but you are talking about a miner that runs at over 2200 watts.  And heads up they are sold out online.  ;)

Edit:  also checked the website.  Psu not included and shipping fees will apply.

Is anyone selling one of those miners for ~$1000k?  Havent seen one on here but I can be wrong.

not everyone cares about power efficiency though. some of us here have access to low cost or zero cost power sources. 16 btc for a machine that barely mines 4 ltc a day? sure you can rent them out but yield is dropping in rental market due to shrinking scrypt coin market (monacoin switched to lyra recently)at most you can get 5 to 6 ltc over there.. anyone who will pay 1200 ltc for this miner will have to wait 250 days (most optimistical) on average just to break even..  :o
also difficulty is going to stay in 47xxx 50xxx range if not shoot upwards while ltc price is going to remain in shitters unless another ponzi pops up.
even 10btc for a price is hardly justifiable.. also just fyi official warranty period is over for these capricious miners so if they break you're on your own while Innosilicon and Alcheminer will still repair at cost..

If you have free power then yes run whatever you want but right now if you pay for power the a2 and alchemist miners just cant be run let alone some of the other older miners.  So if you pay for power and efficiency is a major factor then make an offer  :)

As far as litecoin difficulty dont know if thats predictable at this point (who is making new scrypt miners vs price).  But one could make an argument for either way.

You are correct. They aren't in stock and they haven't been for some time. Assuming he's refering to alcheminer, they are a borderline scam. People who actually received units are lucky at best. I did find one gent who was offering to trade my S4+ i had at the time, and as it was too good to be true, so was he. Never happened. Also i like people throwing ROI numbers around like they know wtf they are talking about.

You sir is a liar

Alcheminer is no scam , I orders four units and they all arrived brand new and on time.

I also recently had a controller board Fri and the shipped me a new one at cost.

If there is a problem with them is they are near useless on multipools without nodded firmware
But they mine at full speed on ltc

KNC will still repair your miner. I sent them a bad module a few months ago and they RMA it. I got back a fully functional module.

I prefer LTC miners over BTC . Bitmine with their Antminer 7 is driving up difficulty. At current difficulty it would take over 9 months to recover cost and this is not counting the drop in reward halving. So 16 BTC is more than fair. If you wanted to do a trade I would give you my two Neptunes including power supplies for your Titan. PM if interested.

To all involved.....titans 300-330 @~1250 watts. While the alchechemist is around 250 mh/s at 2200 watts and the a2 mega is around 110 mhs at ~1000 watts.  Havent seen an alchemist for sale for $1000 in awhile you can get a mega for around $1000 right now........so 3 megas for $3,000 gets you 300 mh/s while driving home around 3000 watts (and for people who pay for power like me it matters) or a titan at over 300 mh/s with almost half or a third of the power for a little bit more.  Its a great debate but it will always come down to efficiency for me.

With that being said I appreciate all the offers here and via pm so far but it looks like it should be sold with the buyer picking up on saturday.  If it does not I will consider the next best offer.

Congrats on the sale. The KNC titan is still the king. I have more than ROI on my miner. It hashes at 365 Mh/s with power consumption at 1100 watts. Really outstanding.

Thanks.  Mine has consistently given me 330+ very stable.  No issues no concerns.  Reletively quiet compared to a lot of other miners Ive had.

You're an idiot. When is the last time you contacted them? Because their website hasn't changed in 6 months.

http://www.alcheminer.com/alchemist-256mhs/

That has said "$999 for first 100 units!!!" for about a year. And they have been 'out of stock' for just about as long. Fuck outta here with that 'I'm a liar shit'. I just do my research. They fumbled at launch and a lot of people waited forever to get units. They were labeled a scam early on and by the time they did start shipping units their credibility was too hurt to maintain business.
