I'm also looking for a site that can display the balance. There are no tools that provide the validity and balance, so I will have to find it manually. For example, you can find a shop that accepts Moneypak. When you enter a valid code, it will say the balance of the card, and ask if the user wants to continue. I gave him ten codes under the disguise of me having too much spare cards and not knowing which one was used - he gave up after 10 codes, and told him he's not going to bother anymore. So AFAIK you should be safe.
